Exterior Design

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has changed the face of the E-Class range of vehicles, but it nevertheless maintains that classic feel and look associated with the line. The company undertook and ambitious project with this model by blending together some of the designs of the S-Class and C-Class. The result is a trendy and sporty design that takes opulence to the next level.

This car has a low-lying design typical of sports cars, but you will be surprised by how much power it packs under the hood. Additionally, while the front part is sleek and streamlined, the rear has a compact look and feel to it.

So far, Mercedes-Benz has only leaked general photos of its latest E-Class project. However, it is too early to tell whether it will retain all of the aspects of the current design, and there are speculations that some changes may be made before its official release.

Interior Design

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class’ interior is all about comfort and luxury. What’s more, this particular model makes great use of the modern-day sophisticated technology to not only maximize comfort but also ensure safety for everyone inside. The following are the highlights of its interior design:

This model may look like a typical sport car, but it does not compromise on space for unnecessary power. To this end, it features enough space to accommodate four people, and there is lots of room for free movement. To this end, it is suitable for long-distance travels, unlike sports cars, as the driver and passengers are not crammed or fatigued.

This model would not be a Mercedes-Benz if it was not comfortable and opulent. For comfort, it features seats that are ergonomically designed to ensure a healthy and relaxed sitting position. What’s more, the seats are made of plush and soft leather. Additionally, the interior design is neat and just as appealing as the exterior, and this inspires a calm and serene feeling.

There is more fun to this car that just controlling the powerful engine as it comes equipped with a host of technology components. To start with, it has a high-wattage music system. Additionally, its dashboard is compatible with a wide range of smart devices and can run iPhone applications including SIRI voice control. Other technology aspects include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Finally, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-class model does not compromise on safety for all its passengers. To this end, there are four airbags for each occupant. Additionally, it is rumored that the logistics system is smart enough to monitor the car’s surroundings and provide safe driving tips.

Power and Speed

Every aspect of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-class covered so far has been impeccable, but perhaps the most important is the unseen component; the powerful engine under the sleek hood. The new engine is a significant upgrade from the current model’s predecessor, and it offers just as much power and speed as a sports car.

First, it is important to note that this model may come in two versions whose main difference will be the engine. One version is speculated to features a 4-cylinder engine while the other will pack a 6-cylinder engine. Additionally, one of the engines will be powered by gasoline while the other will run on diesel. However, both versions will feature a four-liter fuel tank.

The six-cylinder V8 engine is rumored to have a power output of 600 horsepower, which is much more than most sports cars offer. However, the company has not divulged any information about its speed as it has not been tested yet, but it is certain that it will thrill even the most extreme speed enthusiasts. The Mercedes-Benz E-class engine will also feature a greatly improved transmission system to match the powerful engine. Although the company has not confirmed yet, it is rumored that the car will feature a nine-speed automatic transmission system. There also are speculations that one version may feature a manual transmission system. If the former is true, then this car will be one of the fastest and most powerful Mercedes-Benz cars of all time.

The Question about Electrical Hybrids

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-class is certainly modern in both looks and performance. However, it came as a surprise when the company revealed that both versions would run solely on gasoline or diesel, and yet it is scheduled for release in 2018. Most people’s expectations were that it would at least features an electric hybrid version considering that this is the focal point of the motor industry’s revolution. However, on the bright side, its emission rates are expected to be minimal. What’s more, the absence of an electrical hybrid is expected to ease the production costs and hence make the car affordable.

Release Date and Pricing

Although Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts cannot wait to lay their hands on one of these cars, they will have to wait until late 2017 or early 2018. The company has not yet communicated about the official release date, but updates will be published in the coming months. Among everything else, Mercedes-Benz has especially been mum about the car’s price. However, experts in the industry have compared the new model with its predecessors and estimated its asking price. This cost of the new E-class is expected to range between $55,000 and $70,000. However, since the two expected versions will vary greatly in performance, the price is also expected to vary substantially depending on the version.
