Career Highlights As content manager of dell.com at the forefront of Ecommerce explosion, Margo led her team to redesign the award-winning website for Dell. The goals of increases in conversion rates, average value of each sale and customer satisfaction rate were all surpassed. Margo also trained hundreds of sales reps on how to use the company’s industry leading website to increase their productivity and sales. As global partner program manager at Pervasive, Margo identified that partners were the company’s most profitable customer and built the partner program from the ground up. She created, trained the sales teams to use and launched the successful global partner program. The program yielded new partner accounts, increased partner retention and revenue. The success of the partner program led the company to shift market focus to partners exclusively. Margo also pioneered a social media program for Pervasive and trained the sales teams to use social listening to and increase sales and deepen relationships. Margo left that company to consult with small businesses on strategic marketing and sales. In 2013, one of her clients, FunAir, hired her as their Director of Marketing to launch the company’s consumer product line across the globe. She developed the strategy for and successfully managed all areas of the branding and marketing plan. Blue Goji brought Margo on as VP of Marketing in early 2015 to manage to launch the company’s fitness gaming platform. She worked with the agencies and partners to create the company’s strategic plan to brand and market its product across the world. She worked with contractors and agencies to develop all aspects of launch, including a new website, marketing videos, PR, email marketing, events, social media and brand ambassador programs. Now, Margo offers virtual and in person consulting, training and coaching to professionals and organizations. Community and Education Margo earned her degree in Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A native of Florida, she self-financed her entire college education at out-of-state rates by waiting tables and graduated a semester early. Margo chairs the social media and live video efforts for the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), is a member of the Association of Talent and Development (ATD) and volunteers her coaching and training services for Dress for Success Austin (DFS Austin). She has been a guest speaker a variety of meetings and events and volunteers with the Booster Club at the high school where her two teenagers attend. She lives with her husband, two children and two black labs in Austin, TX and enjoys family hikes, scuba diving vacations and watching her alma mater team, the UNC-Chapel Hill Tarheels play basketball.
