Five Ways You Can Make Money From St. Patrick's Day

Alcohol

St. Patrick's Day is big business all around the world, not just in Ireland. It is well known that people spend a lot of money on this day and this means that there are also plenty of opportunities for you to make a bit of money as well. Some of the easiest ways to earn some money from St. Patrick's Day are described below and there is no reason why you can't combine a few of these ideas. You may have the luck of the Irish on your side and be able to make a real success of your new venture.

Make St. Patrick's Day Crafts

If you are good at crafting then you will find that there is a huge demand for St. Patrick's Day crafts and ornaments. These can be sold on sites such as Pinterest and Etsy. There may even be some craft fairs that are held locally where you can sell your items. Another good place to advertise your crafts is on Facebook or other social media sites where you can set up your own page. There are probably also local buy and sell groups that you can join where your items can be advertised.

Design Your Own St. Patrick's Day Clothing

St. Patrick's Day clothing is also something that there will be a lot of demand for, particularly T-shirts. There are many sites that you can upload your design to and then order as many shirts as you need. There are also sites that will allow you to presell your shirts so that there are no upfront costs for you. The production costs will be met by the sales and the company will send any profit on to you. This makes it a good choice if you are just getting started in design and you want to see how successful it can be before risking any of your own money.

Sign Up For Lift Sharing

If people are heading out to parties then they will not want to worry about how they are going to get home. There will be a lot of demand for cabs and you can take advantage of this by signing up to a service such as Lyft or Uber. You may also find that you get work from people who are not drinking but just don't want the hassle of finding somewhere to park when everywhere is so busy. You will need to sign up to the service in advance and so the sooner you can do this the better.

Offer Your Services As A Babysitter

There is a good chance that many parents will want to attend a St. Patrick's Day party without their children in tow. If there is someone that you know personally that this may apply to then you can offer your services as a babysitter. Even if you don't know anyone that needs a city then there may be babysitting services that you can sign up to. You will have to go through the vetting process that these services have in place and this is likely to include a police check. It is also a good idea if you have some experience under your belt as people are more likely to want to book you if they can see that you already have some good reviews.

Look Around For Paid Temporary Jobs

There may be celebrations that will be held in the town or city where you live that require temporary workers. It may be worth finding out who is running these events and enquiring whether they have any vacancies. There may only be one night of work or there could be things happening over a few days. If bars and restaurants know that they are going to be busy then they may be looking for extra staff. You could also put an ad on Craig's List advertising your services and availability.
