The $2.5 Million Tiffany Majestic Necklace is the Priciest

The most expensive necklace ever created and sold by luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. is the beautiful Tiffany Majestic necklace. With a price tag of $2.5 million, the Tiffany Majestic necklace is “a true showstopper…designed to showcase the exceptional Regal, a rare 41-caret pear-shaped diamond.” Set in platinum, the luxury necklace features over 300 glittering stones–319 to be exact–that that took over a year to procure. “With rows of diamonds blossoming in florets,” the glittering platinum and diamond necklace features hand cut and set round brilliant and pear-shaped diamonds.

No longer available through the luxury jewelry retailer, the $2.5 million Tiffany & Co. necklace–which has a total caret weight of 84.19 carets–is one of the most dazzling pieces of jewelry ever created and sold by the iconic Tiffany & Co. The Tiffany Majestic necklace also happens to be the eighth most expensive diamond necklace of all-time.

Headquartered in New York City, Tiffany & Co. is an American multinational luxury jeweler and specialty retailer founded in 1837. The public company sells jewelry, sterling silver, china, crystal, stationary, fragrances, watches, personal accessories, and even leather goods. Many of the Tiffany & Co. products are sold at Tiffany retail stores throughout the world, as well as through direct-mail and corporate merchandising.

Renowned for its luxury goods and brilliant diamonds, Tiffany & Co. markets itself as an arbiter of taste and style. Founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young in New York City in 1837 as a “stationery and fancy goods emporium,” the store initially sold a wide variety of stationery items and operated under the Tiffany, Young, and Ellis name in Lower Manhattan.

The name was shortened to Tiffany & Co. in 1853 when Charles Tiffany took control and established the firm’s emphasis on jewelry that continues to this day. Tiffany & Co. has since opened stores in major cities all over the world and currently has a market cap of $13.22 billion.
