The 10 Finest Watches Designed by Richard Mille

Richard Mille Watches

In 1999, Frenchman Richard Mille created what would become one of the most innovative brands in the watch industry when he launched his eponymous company. He began his career at watchmaker Finhor in 1974. When it was bought out in 1981 by Matra, Mille rose to the ranks of company manager using his education in marketing. This company, too, changed hands and was bought by Seiko. When Richard Mille left in 1992 to start a watchmaking division for iconic jeweler Mauboussin, he confirmed that he could successfully develop a watch company. This lead to the businessman striking out on his own venture, and Richard Mille SA came to fruition.

Since launching its first product in 2001, the RM 001, Richard Mille has been in demand around the world by watch aficionados and celebrities looking for unique, quality pieces. The brand's watches stand out not only for their stunning designs and craftsmanship, but their incorporation of cutting edge engineering and technology.
