One of those who have kept up with the pace is Lisa Harp. As Founder and President of advertising company Harp Advertising + Interactive, it’s literally her job to be ahead of the times. Lisa Harp will not let you off your copywriting so easy. Not a single dot or a misspelled word will get away. It helps that Harp is such a grammar geek because it shows just how passionate she is about what she does. Make sure you proofread your work a few times before you turn it in. Otherwise, Harp will be marking your errors red.

She’s a top CEO nationwide.

According to USA Today in 2017, Harp is ranked as #29 out of the top 50 CEO nationwide among companies that have up to 500 employees. That’s quite an achievement for a company that only has about 50 employees. While their numbers may be low, their output is tremendous. It goes to show just how much quality matters over quantity.

She’s Chicago chic all the way.

Harp graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Advertising/Marketing from the University of Illinois in 1986. She also went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Advertising from the same university in 1987. Now, her company is headquartered in Chicago. Harp serves as a Managing Member on the Board of Directors for Dolor Technologies. Dolor Technologies is a medical device company that was known for their drug delivery system called SphenoCath. It may be a step away from the advertising world, but Harp has played an important role in the company since it was founded in 2012.

She has impressive clients.

Just so you can understand how important Harp’s work truly is, you can just take a quick look into some of its most impressive clients. Harp’s company has worked with some big names including Citibank, Evian, New York Life, Sony, and Unilever. Some other companies she has worked with include Condor Airlines, American Greetiings, Illy Caffé North America, and Navistar International. These are just a few of many others, but you get the idea of the kind of work that Harp does with her company.

Harp founded her company right after she got her Master’s degree. She’s been around in the limelight since 1987 and has since renamed and rebranded her own branding company into what we know now as Harp Advertising + Interactive. This is part of what makes her an industry expert. Having been around in the industry this long is a testament to how good her work is.

She likes cosmopolitans.

Actually, she likes them enough that they have a place in her LinkedIn profile. Harp happens to be an avid cosmopolitan drinker. Her favorite recipe? A bit of Cointreau, some Bacardi Limon, cranberry to top, and a dash of lime for the finish—that’s how Harp makes her best.
