The Top 10 Anticipated Cars from the 2016 Paris Motor Show
The 2016 Paris Motor Show is a venue for the top car manufacturers to show off their new concept cars and reveal their brand new editions for the coming year. Auto enthusiasts anxiously await each new revelation of their favorite brands and models to find out what new and exciting changes are coming up. It also gives a preview of any new models along with the highlights of what the public can expect from them in terms of build, looks and performance.
Here are the ten top picks from this year’s line up.
Citroen C3 WRC Concept
This is just a peek at the future world rally championship racer. The focus of Citroen with this model is to debut their newest racer that is almost ready for the track. The final version will feature 390 horse power and the weight will be 55 pounds lighter than the concept model when all is said and done. This new version has removed the air dam and replaced it with a large front spoiler. It no longer sports the fog lights but the holes have been left there to act as air vents. The form will be the same as the 2017 C3, but there will be noticeable changes in the completed model.
Specs:
It is believed that the road version of teh C3 will offer three gas powered engine options with the hp capacity of 67, 80 or 108. It’s believed that the new Citroen will come equipped with a 2.0 litre engine with will achieve 380 hp.
Price: $ TBD, but we know it’s going to be expensive.
Ferrari GTC 4 Lusso T
This second generation car brings high expectations for Ferrari enthusiasts with plenty of power in following with the Ferrari tradition. It looks like a standard version of the earlier model with all of the gills and vents but revisions under the skin make this a totally different animal. It’s dropping its all wheel drive but it’s gaining two turbos.
Specs:
The engine is a twin turbocharged 488 GTB with 601 horsepower for all of the power that you’ll ever need. The 3.9 litre V-8 delivers the speed but it’s not likely to be easy on gas. It reaches zero to sixty mph in 3.4 seconds.
Price: $300,000.00.
LaFerrari Aperta
The LaFerrari Aperta is making its world debut at the 2016 Paris car show. It is a limited edition open top model. It comes packed with power and style and although it’s hard to believe that LaFerrari could be made any better, this one with the drop top is definitely at the top of the line.
Specs:
The powertrain features 950 horsepower with the 6.3 litre V-12 engine and an electric motor and battery pack to boot. It also features a dual clutch sequential seven speed manual transmission. It travels from zero to sixty in just under three seconds with a top speed that exceeds 217 miles per hour.
Price: $1.5 million
Mercedes GTR
The new exclusive color of the Mercedes GT R is Green Hell Magno. This newest in German design offers enhanced speed and handling with splits and wings that make it a green menacing thunderbird on the road.
Specs:
There are some definite changes under the hood. The revised intake and forged aluminum pistons combined witih a higher compression ratio make this baby scream. the engine is a twin turbo V-8 with 577 horse power and a turn up from 479 pound feet of torque all the way up to 516. The sound is also enhanced with titanium exhaust pipes at the center of the rear fascia.

AMG GT Roadster
The Mercedes AMG GT has produced a version that features a convertible option. The 2018 Roadster are a combination of three of their most popular models to come up with a luxury sports car that will offer the sought after convertible Roadster.
Specs:
The AMG GT Roadster houses a 4.0 litre twin turbocharged V-8 engine with a whopping 469 horsepower in the GT a blur on the road reaching zero to sixty in just 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 188 miles per hour. The GT C version offers 550 horse power and can get from zero to sixty in 3.7 seconds and top out at 196 miles per hour.
Price: 80,850
AMG GLC Coupe
The GLC finally gets the AMG trim. You’ll get plenty of speed and comfort with the sportier coupe version that is soon to be released to the public. It is making its debut to the world at the 2016 Paris Motor show and is a welcome participant for global recognition.
Specs:
It comes equipeed with a 3.0 litre V-6 engine that churns out 362 horse power with 384 pound feet of torque. It will go from zero to sixty in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 130 miles per hour.
Price: $ The price has not yet been finalized and will be available closer to launch time.
Mercedes EQ
Mercedes has rolled out its new EQ brand in an effort to help protect the fragile ecosystem. This innovative vehicle uses state of the art technologies in its expansion of charging solutions and additional running time with the installation of two electric motors, one on each axle.
Specs:
Two electric motors produce 300W each of power that have the traveling capacity of 310 miles in between charges. Future solutions for faster charging that could potentially add an extra 100 miles of range for five seconds of charging are in the works for later editions. There is plenty of power with this model as it goes from zero to sixty n just under five seconds.

Land Rover Discovery
The Discovery has significantly lightened the car’s weight with the switch to aluminum construction. This has been an innovation which made room for the addition of a safety kit along with more luxurious materials and better soundproofing.
Specs:
The Land Rover Discovery is powered with a 2.0 litre Ingenium four cylinder diesel option with 237 horse power and 500 NM of torque. It gets from zero to sixty in 8 seconds with an average of 43.5 miles per gallon fuel efficiency for a cleaner running vehicle.

Lexus UX Concept
The latest Lexus is being unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show and features a futuristic cockpit that portrays a three dimensional driving experience. the front seating positions have a partition that creates a hologram center display. transparent globe shows the analog and digital information. It also includes electrochromic glass for the windows and camera housings on the side mirrors.
Specs:
It is believed that this model will come with a four cylinder 2.0 engine with the option for a 2.5 litre engine and a hybrid electric powertrain. This is all that is known at this point.
Price: $ The price as yet to be determined but it should be released within the next few weeks.
Hyundai RN30 Concept
The Hyundai N Concept RN30 is an anticipated model that has been a long time coming. Making its debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the rumors should soon be put to rest. It is believed that this will be a super fast racing car with the same platform of the i30 model, launched previously this year.
Specs:
We know that it will be equipped with a 2.0 litre turbo four petrol engine and the horse power generated will be 265 with 277 pound feet of torque.
Price: $ The price is soon to be determined but as of this date there isn’t a hint at what it may be.
