Karma is a California based automaker that has recently announced the availability of its latest offering, the 2020 Revero GT. While it’s not a new line the Karma Revero GT is being released with some updates that fans of the brand will find interesting if not fully enticing. If you’ve not yet checked it out, here are 10 things about the Karma Revero GT that you probably didn’t know but might find interesting.
1. It’s an imposing mode
If you’re looking for a sporty yet classic sedan this model may be worth your time. The exterior of the Revero GT takes its inspiration from the aerospace industry with wing sections and turbines that adorn the front end with details that give it an aerodynamic shape. It cuts through the wind with less lag for enhancement of its power endowments.
2. The 2020 Karma Revero GT offers a modern ride
In a continuation of the expression of the design, the headlights and the taillights are LED for a bright lighting system in front and back of the sedan. The detailing features a wrap-around aesthetic and if you’re a Karma fan, it very much contains the DNA throughout each angle of the design.
3. The 2020 Karma Revero GT has a performance engine
The engine that the Karma Revero GT is equipped with is a 1.5 liter turbocharged 3-cylinder with its origins in Germany. It powers the electric generator that is a part of the electric drive system along with dual electric motors. To the layperson, it’s a complicated configuration, but regardless it cranks out a generous 132 more horsepower than its predecessor. The new powertrain generates 535 horsepower along with 550 lb-t of torque. This gives it the believable claim of reaching 60 mph from a standstill in 4.5 seconds. The top speed is claimed at 125 mph.
4. The engine is inspired by BMW for its lightness
German automotive technology inspired the engine used in the Revero GT. Bavarian Motor Works developed this smaller yet powerful engine along with the battery pack that is used in the Revero. It comes in at a curb weight of 5,050 pounds. It’s experienced a jump in power along with a weight loss which both combines for nothing but good for discriminating drivers who are particular about the “feel” of the car. The total weight loss was 353 pounds.
5. The updates are noticeable
If you compare the earlier Fiskar version and the new 2020 Revero GT you can see that there have been some significant changes to the exterior. Since the company changed hands in 2014, it has been an evolving work in progress. The doors have totally been replaced as well as each of the body panels to give it a sleeker and curvier aesthetic. This enhances its sportiness and gives it a more imposing personality.
6. The interior is refreshed
The new Revero GT has also changed significantly on the inside. It gets a new shifter for the 2020 edition with a push-button styling. The infotainment system is also bespoke and uniquely from Karma. Almost everything on the interior has been changed which makes it not only look different, but it also has a different layout with new features. The infotainment system is new and the center console is a refreshed version as well, to make it more modern and convenient for the driver.
7. The 2020 Karma Revero GT is a premium luxury sedan
We were impressed with the amount of detail that Karma put into their new 2020 Revenge GT model. The soft leather is used for almost everything that requires covering, and the rest is completed in genuine wood material. The visors and the headliner are covered in Alcantara along with a touch of chrome for the visor. The steering wheel is also wrapped in leather. The steering column is one of the details that Karma borrowed from the Corvette.
8. The infotainment system is remarkable
The infotainment system is one of the most exciting and user-friendly models we’ve seen. It comes with a large touchscreen along with Apple CarPlay. The menu offers some great intuitive features that make them easy to access and to use. The information and controls that you need are right at your fingertips.
9. It’s a low ride
The driver and passengers sit low in the seat of the Revero GT, but the seats are comfortable. It’s every bit a luxury ride for everyone on board. There is also ample space to move your arms and legs in the cabin without feeling cramped or restricted. The riding position puts one in mind of the feeling that you get when you’re riding in or operating a Porsche. When it comes to creature comforts, even the steering wheel is designed with a ton of controls and a comfortable grip. The 3D sensitive steering wheel controls provide the driver with haptic feedback.
10. The 2020 Karma Revero GT gives you a choice of modes
We love the fact that the Karma Revero GT for the 2020 model year is being offered with three different driving modes to choose from. Just the names of the various modes are exciting. There is Stealth, Sustain, and Sport. The Sport mode makes the steering a bit heavier but it gives you faster response time and this is a wonderful enhancement to handling in the mode. On the other side of the steering wheel are controls for regenerative braking which gives you three different levels. It’s as though the engineers had the goal of creating an even match on the other side of the steering wheel across from the driving modes. The mapping is amazing across the board and it gives you options for the driving modes that best suit the road conditions as well as your mood. All of these things combined are enough to make you want to investigate a little further to learn more about how you can customize your 2020 Karma Revero GT when you place your order to personalize it.
