2020 Mazda CX-9

The 2020 Mazda CX-9 is available and in spite of the current lockdowns and stay at home orders, dealerships are standing by to offer some of the most amazing deals that buyers have seen in years. This is an unprecedented time of uncertainty, but fans of the CX-9 have something that they can certainly look forward to. If you love the CX-9 of yesteryear, here are 10 things that you didn’t know about the latest iteration that might make you give your local dealership a call.

1. Mazda is offering an outstanding financing package on the 2020 CX-9

If you’re qualified for Mazda’s financial program, you could have a CX-9 delivered to your front door with no money down and no payments for up to 90 days. To make the deal even sweeter, eligible applicants receive 0% APR for 60 of the 90-day payment relief. This means if you need a new car and you have excellent credit, you’re in luck. All you need to do is apply and place your order. It’s as simple as that.

2. The 2020 Mazda CX-9 is available in 4 trims

You’ll have the option of going with your choice of four different trims in the CX-9. The Sport Edition is available with a starting price of $33,8890. The Touring model has a base price of $35,710. The Grand Touring edition prices begin at $44,550, and the Signature edition starts at $46,215.

3. You can build your own CX-9

The dealership offers a host of trims and add-on features that allow you to customize your new 2020 Mazda CX-9. There are several color choices and creature comforts you can stack on the base model. There is a range of interior and exterior colors to choose from along with technology and safety features, and the best part of it all is that you can use a handy online tool to build your order and get an instant cost estimate.

4. The Signature trim offers premium features

The 2020 CX-9 is packed with impressive features and technology. The engine is a 250 horsepower 4 with Dynamic Pressure Turbo mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel-drive with off-road traction assist. It’s spacious with 3-row seating that accommodates up to 6 passengers with 2nd-row captain’s chairs and a center console and more.

5. There are pros and cons for the 2020 CX-9

As with any new vehicle, there are some things consumers love and other things they pick apart. When it comes to performance, the driving dynamics and performance of the CX-9 is snappy and bright. It gets very good fuel economy and the cabin is loaded with premium features. On the downside, the cargo bay is a little small, the towing capacity is low and the third-row seat is only large enough for kids.

6. The 2020 CX-9 has been upgraded

There have been multiple upgrades made for the 2020 model year of the CX-9. One of the most impressive is a suite of driver assistance features that includes pedestrian detection and automated emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert with blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. This is standard equipment. Other updates include heated exterior mirrors, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and heating with power adjustments for the front seats.

7. Premium trims come with even more upgrades

In the Signature, Grand Touring, and Touring Models, Mazda has installed a new 9.0-inch infotainment display which is larger than in previous model years, along with Android Auto and Appl CarPlay integration, along with power-adjust second-row seats and a new key-fob design for remote control. One of the most outstanding updates for the Signature trim is the new upholstery choices of Deep Chestnut or Parchment in fine grade Nappa leather, second-row captain’s chairs as standard fare, and a center console. The Grand Touring models offer a power liftgate on top of that. There are some amazing changes for the new year.

8. The 2020 Mazda CX-9 is better than ever but still part of the old generation

Mazda has not yet made the jump to a new generation, which is why we found the updates so impressive. It’s still a member of the 2nd generation that kicked off with the 2016 model year, and we usually don’t see so many cool additions until it’s time to kick off a new generation. A few new things you can look forward to are the two USB port s that are added to the third row on the two premium models, with more than ever previously optional safety features included as standard equipment.

9. It’s finely tuned

The new 2020 CX-9 has received a retuned suspension to make driving even more enjoyable with better responsiveness. It’s also contributed to the comfort of the ride for passengers and the premium cabin is quiet when you’re going down the road. If you go with the Grand Touring model you can opt for a heated steering wheel and more.

10. A moonroof is available

You can also order the Grand Touring trim with a power moonroof along with aluminum roof rails. It also comes with ventilated front seats, integrated navigation, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system. Throw in LED foglights, surround-view monitoring, parking sensors for front and rear, and adaptive front lighting and you have an amazing premium package. Mazda has offered so many different trims with more standard features than ever and they’ve also thrown in a lot of great options. Somehow, the manufacturer has managed to keep the cost at a reasonable level for what you’re getting. If you’re in the market for a new CX-9, this is a great time to contact your local dealership to find out what kind of deal they’re able to offer you.
