A Closer Look at The 2020 Stingray 231 DC

2020 Stingray 231 DC

There are boats and then there are boats. If you want something that has durability, performance and plenty of good looks to go around, you owe it to yourself to take a look at the 2020 Stingray 231 DC. This is a boat that has the ability to impress, even if you’ve never really been particularly impressed by boats. Check out the 10 things listed below that you may not know about this water-borne wonder.

1. It’s reminiscent of the sports car it was named after

That’s right, you’re probably thinking that the name Stingray sounds familiar. That’s because it was first made famous by the Corvette Stingray sports car, an amazingly beautiful marriage of aesthetics and performance that has become the stuff of legend. The boat is aptly named, as it has the potential to achieve the same status. As such, it’s name is well justified.

2. It comes complete with a sink

As a matter of fact, it actually has two sinks, one up top and one in the head. Both have a residential faucet and both produce fresh water, even if you’re enjoying an outing in the open ocean.

3. It’s outfitted in much the way as you might expect a luxury automobile to be

This boat comes with GPS and a stereo that will make most luxury car owners jealous. Both have their own touch screen displays. There’s even a separate touch screen that displays virtually anything you could imagine about the engine, telling you everything from total hours operated to fuel economy and just about everything in between.

4. You can also use the remote control

If you’re thinking you read that wrong, you didn’t. The watercraft comes with a remote control for the stereo system, meaning that you can adjust the volume or change the channel no matter where you are on the boat. It seems the people who built this lovely example of freedom and performance really have thought of everything.

5. Comfort is the number one priority

You genuinely can stay out on this boat all day long. You don’t even have to worry about stopping to take care of things when nature calls. The boat has a built in cooler complete with a drain, allowing you to safely store enough beverages for the whole group. When it’s time to take care of your business, there is also a built-in head located just below deck. It comes complete with a Porta-potti that can be emptied dockside, along with the aforementioned sink. If you think the head is going to be a cramped area where you can’t stand up straight and can barely even turn around, think again. It’s actually quite spacious. Some might even call it comfortable.

6. The hull is patented

It’s not surprising the builders of this thoroughbred made the decision to issue a patent on the hull. After all, it is their design and it’s unique to this boat. They call it the Z-hull, and it’s the reason why the boat is able to go so fast while remaining relatively stable in the water. The patented hull also means that the Stingray can cut through the water much more effectively than the majority of the competition. The end result is a boat that goes fast without compromising control. As such, it provides a surprisingly smooth ride, even in choppy water.

7. Fill it up and run all day

The boat can hold up to 56 gallons of fuel, which is quite a lot, especially compared to other boats of a similar size. Furthermore, it runs on about four gallons per hour unless you’re running it at full speed the entire time. Therefore, you can fill it up before you leave the docks and then run all day without being forced to come back in for another round of fuel. By the way, if you do choose to run it at full speed, you’ll be traveling at slightly more than 50 miles per hour.

8. The steering wheel tilts

This may not be the most important thing in the world but it certainly does add to the comfort level. It also means that more than one person can drive the boat without sacrificing comfort in the process. Of course, the tilting steering wheel also gives you superior control and is just one more feature you would expect to see on a luxury automobile.

9. You can even get one with a shower

No, you’re not dreaming. You can purchase the boat with an option that includes a fresh water shower on the transom. Who doesn’t want the chance to wash off after spending hours in the water? If you’re particular about that sort of thing, you don’t have to refrain from getting in the water until the end of the day, nor do you have to spend hours feeling uncomfortable until you can get a shower. With this boat, you can swim whenever you feel the urge to do so and then enjoy standing under the showerhead for a few minutes to refresh.

10. LED lights add both visibility and attitude

The LED docking lights are available as an optional package, but they’re well worth it. Not only do they provide superior visibility, especially in low light situations, but they also give this sharp-looking boat even more attitude. The Stingray’s lines are already impressive. When the LED lights are added to the package, they become even more so.

As you can see, this boat is something special. As previously mentioned, it’s earned its name and will continue to do so. If you’re in the market for something stylish, fast and versatile, this may be the very boat you’ve been hoping for. This is especially poignant when you consider the 10 things listed above.
