The history of the 2017 Ducati Diavel Diesel

It’s wise to know as much as you can about a bike before you start talking to a seller about a used bike. You’ll know what they’re talking about. When they see that you have adequate working knowledge of the specs, potential issues, and value, they’ll get right to the point and leave out the fluff. Top Speed offers a solid retelling of the history of the model. The announcement of the Diavel was made at the 2017 Milan Men’s Fashion Week followed by the launch at the year’s Moto Bike Expo Italy.

The CEO of Ducati explained that Ducati’s partnership with Diesel was an effort to delve more deeply into technical and stylistic aspects of the bike, which was an original design, to discover how collaborations between Diesel and Ducati designers could produce a motorcycle that appealed to fashion connoisseurs. The brand sought to move outside of the motorcycling world to bring a bit of diversity into the creative process. The efforts of the two Italian houses yielded a motorcycle that embodied elements of the past and future. It’s delivered in a silhouette of combined themes to appeal to a larger segment of the population. The result was a post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Ducati saw to it that the technologies and automotive design maintained the DNA and high standards of excellence set by the brand without departure.
