A Closer Look at the New G2 Vision Jet from Cirrus

The Vision Jet, which penetrated the airline industry in 2016, made history by being the first jet to be certified single-engine by the Federal Aviation Administration. Through the first nine months of 2018, the jet led other business jets in terms of deliveries with 41 deliveries worldwide. In 2017, the Jet was honored by the National Aeronautic Association through an annual award for the great achievement in astronautics or aeronautics in America. This award considers the efficiency, safety, and performance of air vehicles. Vision Jet clearly demonstrated this value thoroughly through actual use in 2017.

However, instead of resting and enjoying the popularity and laurel offered by Vision Jet, Cirrus worked harder to produce a better version of the jet: The G2 Vision Jet. The G2, which means second generation, flies faster, higher, and farther than the Vision Jet. It, moreover, prides in an improved and new Garming flight deck which includes an auto-throttle. This new feature, which Cirrus made sure to offer it as an optional addition, makes it easier to fly the airplane. Cirrus designed the part to suit owner-pilots who might be seeking to step up from the SR range of single-piston models.

Other pioneering technologies that are unique to G2 also include flight stream connectivity and an innovative auto-throttle. Other G2 cabin upgrades work to improve the passenger experience by putting in place well-engineered noise reduction mechanisms, new executive seats, and a productivity console. According to the company’s President of Innovation, the organization’s history is full of relentless innovation, and the G2 embodies the same spirit. The G2 plane is a pioneer in personal air space travel, and it is only realized through a world-class team of engineers and a rich history of corporate innovation.

Faster, Farther, and Higher

The G2 jet goes farther, faster, and higher. A bigger flight level raises the capabilities and performance of the new plane. Moreover, the Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum expands the Jet’s range to more than 1,200nm. On a normal 800 NM flight, G2 offers increased flexibility to have on board some extra 150 lb and can push its top speed to over 300kts.

Auto-throttle and Perspective Touch

The G2 Jet prides in the Perspective Touch Plus by Garmin flight deck. With faster processing speeds, greater screen resolution and new hardware the Perspective Touch Plus uplifts the G2 fight deck to a whole new level. Auto-throttle, which is normally found on high-end business planes and commercial aircrafts, is now available on the G2 Vision plane. This unique technology has the ability to integrate with the autopilot feature and can also adjust the plane’s speed for each phase of the flight thus reducing the workload placed on the pilot. The pilot is thus able to focus on other tasks.

The jet prides in Flight Stream capabilities that work towards simplifying the pilot’s workload by creating a network connection between your mobile gadget and the flight deck. This enables a wide array of wireless improvements such as database updates, flight plan transfers, text messaging and more. In the collective sense, these innovative technologies add to the capabilities of the G2 jet flight deck. Other features, including the SurfaceWatch, 3D Synthetic Vision, data-link weather, integrated crew alerting, ADS-B, active weather radar, system Synoptics, and satellite communications, work to enhance the jet’s efficiency, performance, and safety. Better Batteries from True Blue Power end the number of improvements that the jet delivers.

Transformative Cabin Experience

The G2 is crafted to enhance the personal travel experience; the airplane elevates the bar in as far as comfort, productivity, and spaciousness is concerned. A new seating arrangement adds into the plane’s sophistication with two artisan-crafted and luxurious row seats and a center console with tables to assure a more productive flight travel experience. The new noise reduction mechanisms, which have been well-engineered to suit the G2, enhance the overall cabin environment. These enhancements improve the unrivaled panoramic view and spaciousness that acted as the foundation of the Vision Jet design.

Entertainment options are numerous as the passengers have unlimited access to 110V power outlets and USB ports. An expansive video monitor mounts overhead to offer world-class display and entertainment options from numerous sources. The seating arrangement offers room for two children and five adults; this modular can, however, be repositioned to offer more flexibility.
