The AAA, or American Automobile Association, is one of the leading breakdown services in the United States. People who become a member of their organization are often eligible for a variety of benefits as a reward for being customers of AAA. One of these benefits is significantly discounted rates when staying at many leading hotel brands and resorts around the world. Some of the biggest hotel brands in the world are in partnership with the AAA, so AAA customers can potentially get discounted rates in over 300,000 hotels worldwide. Here are the hotel brands and resorts that are currently in partnership with the AAA’s membership discount program.

Best Western International

Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, the Best Western International chain has over 4,100 hotels and motels around the world, including the United States, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and Asia. This company describes itself as the world’s largest hotel family. Members of the AAA can save over 20% when they stay in hotels in Canada, the United States, and many other international destinations. Those who are also members of the Best Western Rewards program can make further savings by earning bonus points for staying at a Best Western International Resort. Furthermore, children under the age of 12 can stay in a Best Western International hotel for free when they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Choice Hotels

Choice Hotels franchises almost 6,400 properties worldwide. The headquarters of this company is in Maryland, United States, but the brands under the Choice Hotels umbrella are located worldwide. Some of the brands that are part of this company include Cambria Hotel & Suites, Suburban Extended Stay, Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, Rodeway Inn, the Ascend Hotel Collection, Quality Inn, Comfort Suites, Econo Lodge, and Sleep Inn. Members of the AAA can get up to 10% off their stay at participating Choice Hotels.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts

Formerly known as Hilton Hotels, this travel and leisure company has 570 properties in 85 countries and territories across the globe. Hilton was originally founded by Conrad Hilton in 1919 when he bought his first property, a hotel in Cisco, Texas. AAA members can save up to 5% on a stay at Hilton Hotels & Resorts and children under the age of 12 can stay for free. Hilton Hotels & Resorts also has its own loyalty program called Hilton Honors and members of this scheme can receive exclusive discounts on their future bookings.

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts manages 777 properties that are located across 54 countries. These include vacation properties, resorts, and luxury hotels. The first Hyatt House was opened in 1954. This was a motel close to Los Angeles International Airport. Hyatt has a loyalty program called World of Hyatt for people who regularly stay in one of their properties. There are further discounts for people who are a member of the AAA as they can get up to 10% off their accommodation plus a complimentary breakfast for two. This deal applies only to stays in properties in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

Marriott Hotels & Resorts

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is the flagship brand of Marriott International. Based in Maryland, United States, this company consists of 566 hotels and resorts. These are in various locations across the globe, with the highest numbers of hotels and resorts in the United States, the UK, and Canada. Their own loyalty scheme is called Marriott Rewards and this rewards their customers who use their facilities by offering discounts on further stays. Those who are members of the AAA can save 5% on the cost of a stay at Marriot Hotels & Resorts. In addition to this, children and young people under the age of 17 stay for free when accompanied by an adult.

Starwood Hotels and Resorts

Starwood Hotels and Resorts is a subsidiary of Marriott International as they merged with Marriott in 2015. Starwood Hotels and Resorts consists of 1,200 franchised properties that include spas, hotels, residences, vacation ownership properties, and resorts. This subsidiary of Marriott International is now divided into eleven brands; Westin, Sheraton, The Luxury Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, W Hotels, St. Regis, Le Meridien, Aloft, Element, Tribute Portfolio, and Design Hotels. AAA members can get 15% off their stay at any Starwood Hotels and Resorts Property. They will also receive a complimentary breakfast for two every day of their stay.
