Thomas is a former DOD intelligence analyst, angel investor, conservationist, and serial entrepreneur who has founded, funded, and exited several successful global ventures which include: media properties (CGI, Inc.’s international broadcast syndication network encompassing over 60 countries acquired by Polygram), financial services (Geneva Risk Services, LLC acquired by McAuley Woods & Associates 2008), as well as professional services. Upon the 2001 acquisition of TechExec Resources, Inc., (a ‘high growth’ technology focused executive search firm and Dell Computer Corporation’s largest Executive Search partner for 3 consecutive years) which he founded, Thomas began angel investing, advising clients on M & A and strategic initiatives.Most recently, Mr. Buchar is the Co-Founder of The South Florida Accelerator, LLC and a Managing Partner of its Venture Fund. Thomas also served as CEO of Kultur International Films (“Riverdance” “The Three Tenors”), Investor and Mentor to Twittad.com. Thomas created in partnership with the Wunderman Agency and Landrover, the first national advertising campaign to be syndicated on the Twitter open API platform. Additionally, Mr. Buchar and was founder and Chairman of POM Solutions, LLC (a holding company of multiple mobile payment platforms and a patent portfolio) and Chairman of Yezzi! a global disruptive money transfer gateway, where he led the company’s overall strategic direction and was responsible for positioning the company to become a leader in disruptive global remittances. Thomas built Yezzi’s strategic distribution channels by providing value to retailers, financial institutions, and consumers. In 2014 Yezzi! was acquired by Cuallix Consumer Services of Monterrey Mexico where he advised as their VP of Global Strategy.In addition Mr. Buchar is Founder and Chairman of Nembeza Wildlife Foundation, a USA registered 501(c) 3 whose primary mission is to Preserve, Protect, and Proliferate endangered species globally. On his “bizcations” you can find Thomas in the bushveld of South Africa or Botswana tracking poachers, rescuing orphaned rhino, and supporting breeding projects.
