The Five Best Hotels in Playa Del Carmen

Any time that you make the decision to travel to a new location, one of the first things you have to think about is where you’re going to stay. Nothing is worse than getting to your destination, only to find out that something has gone wrong with your reservations and now you’re scrambling to find a place to stay at the last minute. Obviously, this is something you don’t want to happen so it only makes sense to find out more about the places where you can stay in the area you’re interested in visiting. If you plan on going to Playa del Carmen anytime in the near future, you might want to stay at one of these five hotels. All of them are great and they all have something that caters to people as individuals, so you can pick the one that suits you best.

HM Playa del Carmen

The first thing you’re likely to notice about this place is the pool, which is nothing short of spectacular. It’s huge, it’s beautiful and the deep waters are lit from underneath, giving it a truly magical appearance at night. The rest of the hotel isn’t bad, either. As a matter of fact, the rooms are very hip and modern, you get a free continental breakfast, and you have your choice of things to do right there on site. The hotel has a bar, a restaurant and a gym, so even when you’re kicking back at the hotel, it’s not like you’re going to be bored with nothing to do.

Thompson Playa del Carmen

This is easily one of the best luxury hotels in the area. It’s designed to make you feel like you’re sort of traveling back in time a little bit, thanks in part to the mid-century modern rooms. Make no mistake about it, this has all of the vintage feel in just the right places. You can also rest assured that while you’re there, you won’t want for anything, as the staff promptly attends to your needs. As far as things to do go, enjoy a great restaurant or take a dip in the infinity pool that’s located on the roof.

Fiesta Inn Playa del Carmen

If you are into infinity pools located on rooftops, you can get that here as well. You also get a chance to enjoy rooms that are completely modern, along with a bar that’s better than average and a good restaurant. This one may not be filled with quite as much luxury as some of the others on this list, but it’s certainly no slouch when it comes to making sure that you’re comfortable and happy.

HOTEL 52

It seems like infinity pools are the word of the day here. There’s one here too, and it’s located on the roof. That being said, this is also a great place to stay if you’re in the mood for a beautiful ocean view or some of the best food in the area. The rooms are ultra-modern, which is enough to make some people uncomfortable, but it’s exactly what others are looking for. This hotel is going for a more modern feel that is reminiscent of the Industrial Age, and that’s exactly what you’ll probably notice when you walk in there.

Magic Blue Boutique Hotel Playa del Carmen

This hotel feels tropical from the moment you first set foot on the premises. It also features an excellent Brazilian restaurant and a spa, plus you get free breakfast and Wi-Fi. The rooms are great, so you can’t complain about that, either. All in all, this is a great place to stay, it’s more than fancy enough to make most people happy, and you can stay there for a great price.
If none of these hotels have piqued your interest, then there are plenty of others in the area that you can feel free to explore.

That being said, it might be hard to understand how at least one of these didn’t make you want to click on the link and find out more. They all have something unique about them, which is one of the things that makes them great. Next time you’re planning a stay at Playa del Carmen, you’ll probably know ahead of time where you want to spend your time.
