We’ve been discussing a number of different credit cards lately, breaking them down for you so that you are able to see which ones are the best for your business or your personal life. We just really love a cash back credit card. There is nothing you cannot do with cash back. You can go shopping. You can pay off your credit card statement. You can earn cash back on every single purchase you make, and you can earn a lot of it. We love this card because it’s a little bit better than the rest of them, and we think that most of you will find it difficult to ignore that based on the evidence we will present to you.
Like every other credit card we recommend to you, the Chase Freedom Unlimited will only work if you do. You have to pay off the card in full each month to make the most cash back. You have to use it responsibly if you want to earn cash back, and you have to use it regularly to earn enough to make it worthwhile to have in your pocket. Without dragging this out any longer, I’ll go ahead and get right to it.
What We Love
Everything. Oh, I guess I should elaborate just a bit more than that, shouldn’t I? If you want to know what we love, though, that’s the truth. This cash back credit card is awesome primarily because you don’t have to worry about things like figuring out which categories you get to earn extra cash back in this quarter or what categories you’re only getting 1% cash back when you make a purchase. There is no revolving category or specific place you have to do your shopping to earn significant cash back.
The Chase Freedom Unlimited pays you a flat rate of 1.5% cash back on every single purchase. It does not matter where you go, what you do, what you buy or how much you spend; you’re getting that rate cash back and it’s worthwhile. What’s even more amazing about it is that your earnings are unlimited. Some cards cap out your excessive cash back for three months at certain stores up to a certain amount of money. Not this card; spend all you want and earn every single time. You’ll never outspend your earnings.
To get to more of the things we love, we’re just going to need you to stick around for the next week or so to catch up on all of it. Or, I’ll just tell you that if you spend $500 in the first three months of opening this card, you’re going to get $150 cash back. That’s nothing! Additionally, you get to earn a $25 cash back bonus when you add an authorized user to the account and make one purchase of any amount in the first three months of opening up your account.
Oh, did I mention that you will not pay any interest on anything for the first 15 months you have this card in your wallet? That’s amazing, but it’s not all that important considering the fact that you’re going to pay off your purchases in full each month so that you never have an outstanding balance, right? We talked about that already.
Just one more thing on the long list of things that we love about the Chase Freedom Unlimited card. You don’t have to pay an annual fee. That’s right; this is a card that is free to have and will never cost you a dime. What more do you want out of a credit card, really?
What We Don’t Love
Nothing. Another short, sweet and to the point list for you to ponder. In all honesty, there’s nothing we could find about this card that isn’t lovable. It’s got no interest on all your purchases and your balance transfers for 15 months. It has no annual fee. It’s a flat rate cash back. The only thing we don’t love would be the fact that you don’t just get cash back for carrying the card around in your wallet, but who are we to get picky about things like that?
At the end of the day, this is a pretty sweet card to have in your wallet. If you use it to pay your monthly expenses such as your mortgage and utilities and your gas and groceries plus your fun, shopping and travel, you could legitimately spend at least $30,000 per year (Pay it off in full each month!) for a grand total of $450 cash back. Add your sign-up spending bonus to that and you’re earning an impressive $600 cash back throughout the year, or more if you add an authorized user. It’s a great card to have, so keep it in mind.
