A Closer Look at the Sound Reactive LED Mask

Music is one of the methods we use to express our emotions and feeling. However, we cannot use it to express those emotions visually, unless we do a video. Well, that’s about to change if you invest in a Sound Reactive LED Mask. This LED Mask turns sound waves into creative patterns that are displayed on the mask, making it the perfect tool to use when you need to uniquely communicate with your music without making a sound. In this LED Mask review, we are going to look at its features in detail, including how it combines art and technology to amaze those who look at it.

Wearable LED Mask

This mask is designed to be worn and adjusted to fit a person’s face. You can also fold it and keep it in your pocket. That makes it easy to use it as a music costume accessory for any occasion where music is played for entertainment. The adjustable straps can fit heads of all sizes, and they are easy to set up, even for people who are using the mask for the first time. The mask has protective foam that is 1mm thick, which helps to increase comfort and makes it easy to wear during the day and at night.

How It Works

The LED Mask uses a phosphorus ink that’s controlled by a Lithium modulator. The phosphorous technology allows the mask to provide maximum illumination while still being cold to touch. The modulator turns the sound signals into visual patterns that are rendered by the LEDs to create beautiful patterns. The modulator uses a Lithium-ion battery and is lightweight, which makes the mask comfortable to wear.

Battery and Cable

The power cable is inbuilt in the straps to conceal it, while the battery is concealed in the modulator. The mask’s circuit design has a low power uptake, which makes the mask safer to wear at all times. The low power uptake is possible because of the low resistance of the phosphorous ink used in the LEDs.

Phosphorus Layer

The Phosphorous layer is printed on a phosphorus ink layered on a translucent conductor. Only high quality colors are used on the Printed Wiring Board to ensure the mask maintains its powerful glow throughout its lifetime. The high quality colors also help to transfer the modulated light pattern properly, without any flickering or faint glow even when the Lithium modulator is pulsating at a high frequency.

Printed Design

The printed design is the outermost layer of the mask. It displays the final look of the mask by filtering the colors from the luminous phosphorus layer. It also delivers the final appearance intended by the designer.

Weight

The mask weights only 80 grams/2.82 oz. That makes it one of the lightest active masks you can buy. When you combine its flexibility and lightweight, it becomes a tool for music presentation, entertainment, as well as a costume for occasions such as Halloween.

Others Uses

You don’t have to restrict yourself to wearing this mask, you can also display it in your living room as you play your music, or on your office desk. It will be an instant conversation starter as long as you display it in a prominent position.

Designs

The mask is available in eight different designs; Jaguar 2.0, Fox, Obamask, Grizzlight, King, and Duke by Patrick Seymour. The other designs are Wildcat, Y. Robot, Sugar Skull, and Sugar Skull 2 by Buro Ufho. You can buy one or buy all, depending on where you intend to wear or display your mask.

How To Turn On the Mask

All the masks can be switch on by simply pressing the power button that will be located on the back of your head once you put on your mask. To adjust the mask’s sensibility, you only need to turn the wheel on the side of the mask.

Once the mask is turned, it will be able to pick sound waves from around you and display the visual pattern that matches the sound waves. The masks work best when the background sound is of good quality, and there is minimal interference from other sources of sound. Overall, you can expect the mask to provide perfect visual effects if the music is playing louder than other background sounds.

We hope that you found this article to be informative and you will enjoy the display of your Sound Reactive LED Mask.
