Five Dream Vacations to Take in 2019

The human fascination with the unfamiliar has been well-documented throughout human history. As a result, it is no wonder that a lot of people in the present have dream vacations in mind, particularly since such experiences offer them a chance to take a break from the numerous stresses of day-to-day living. However, even if interested individuals don’t have their plans already drawn up in their minds, they should know that other people have plenty of suggestions that could serve to inform their own vacation-planning process.

African Safari

The African continent is home to some of the most popular charismatic megafauna that can be found on the face of the planet, with examples ranging from lions to elephants. Combined with the fact that there are plenty of natural wonders such as the Victoria Falls, it can make for the vacation of a lifetime. With that said, for interested individuals to get the most out of such an experience, they are going to need to cover vast distances encompassing multiple countries. As a result, they might want to sign up with a reliable and reputable tour operator that can make these issues that much easier for them, thus enabling them to focus on having fun instead of getting bogged down by the logistical details.

Climbing Mount Everest

People who want rest and relaxation should stay away from Mount Everest. However, those who have something more adventurous in mind should remember that it is the tallest mountain on Earth, meaning that climbing it offers the climbers some serious bragging rights. With that said, interested individuals need to keep a couple of things in mind. One, climbing Mount Everest is very, very dangerous, as shown by the numerous people whose corpses will be stuck on the mountain for the foreseeable future because it is too dangerous for the authorities to attempt to retrieve them. As a result, if they are going to attempt to climb Mount Everest, they should listen to their guides at all times, though even then, there is still a very serious degree of risk involved in the whole process. Two, people who want to climb Mount Everest should start saving sooner rather than later because the cost starts at $45,000 for people who choose a western agency.

Monarch Butterfly Migration

Monarch butterflies make a migration of 3,000 miles on an annual basis, which would be impressive for humans with all of our modern technological capabilities but becomes that much more so when one remembers that the butterflies are just butterflies. Combined with the fact that monarch butterflies are one of the more spectacular butterfly species, particularly since they move in such huge numbers, the sight of the monarch butterfly migration can be breathtaking. Luckily, interested individuals can head to Nathab in Mexico during January and February for six-day tours to the Sierra Madre Mountains where they can get the best view of the migrating butterflies, which will come with a cost of around $3,400 plus another $300 or so for the flight to Mexico.

Touring the Italian Peninsula

People with a fondness for culture might want to check out the Italian peninsula, which boasts cities that are filled with wonderful cultural legacies. Some people will want to check out the remnants of the Roman Empire, which remains a huge influence on the western world in the present. In contrast, other people will want to see the glories of Renaissance Italy, which gave rise to storied artists such as Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. On top of this, it should be noted that the pastoral landscapes of the Italian countryside boast their charms as well.

Visiting Antarctica

Antarctica remains the least accessible continent for humans in the modern world. However, that hasn’t stopped various companies from offering Antarctica tours to interested individuals. For those who want to see seals, penguins, whales, and vast expanses of looming ice, they should know that Antarctica tours start at around $14,000 but can go up by quite a bit, meaning that they might want to start planning out their experiences well ahead of time.
