The Georgia Real Estate Commission is one of the bodies in said state that is responsible for overseeing how the real estate market functions within it. In its case, it exists for the purpose of promoting the public interest, meaning that it has a huge impact on people living in the state of Georgia even though most of them will never interact with it in a direct manner. With that said, the Georgia Real Estate Commission stresses the need for its members to understand the positions of both real estate professions and real estate consumers. This makes sense because otherwise, it couldn’t hope to promote the public interest, which involves both of them as stakeholders.

In fact, it is one of the things that its approved schools are supposed to instill in their students, which makes sense because continuing education serves to keep interested individuals up-to-date in their chosen fields.

10. Has Broad Reciprocity

Georgia is one of the states with relatively broad reciprocity. Interested individuals with real estate licenses issued by other states need to have either bought or leased a property in the state. Furthermore, they need to provide a copy of the Georgia Crime Information Report that isn’t more than 60 days old. Suffice to say that this makes for a much easier process than some of the other states out there, which may or may not even offer reciprocity.
