1. There’s a relaxing beer garden

What could be better than relaxing in a bustling beer garden with a bottle of San Diego’s best? Catching up with friends and watching the sun go down with an ice cold, refreshing beer is one of life’s undisputed pleasures and something you can enjoy to the max at the Green Flash Brewing Co.

2. It’s got an amazing food truck

If you need some food in your belly to soak up some of that on- tap beer, you’re in luck. Green Flash Brewing Co. doesn’t just make awesome beer, it makes some pretty amazing food as well. The Green Flash Gastro in- house food truck is located just outside the beer garden, making it an easy stumble over to load up on grub. The extensive menu features a list of specialty dishes curated by Dave Adams, Green Flash’s Director of Beer Education, in partnership with AG Industry Concepts. Although the menu does occasionally change, you can look forward to such favorites as The Good Burn Burger w/Truck Chips, Korean BBQ Tacos, Banh Mi Fries, Bacon Buffalo Sliders w/Truck Chips and Grilled Chipotle Shrimp Tacos, all designed to perfectly complement Green Flash beers.

3. It’s got a huge menu

If food trucks aren’t your style, you’ll be pleased to know the brewhouse also offers a sit-down menu. Green Flash Brewing Co. prides itself on its home-cooked dishes made from fresh, local ingredients grown using sustainable farming methods. Its range of starters includes such delights as pear toast made with crostini, garlic chive and lemon chevre, Asian pear, honey bee pollen, and crushed pistachios. Mains include a succulent short rib ragu, a delectable sausage stuffed chicken and an equally delicious Berkshire pork chop with crispy potatoes and romesco sauce. Kids are equally well catered to, with a special kid’s menu featuring child-friendly treats like burger and fries, chicken sandwich and fries, and potatoes and veggies.

4. It’s a great place for parties

Whether you’re throwing a work event, hosting a birthday party, or celebrating an anniversary, the Green Flash Brewing Co is the perfect venue for your festivities. Its range of party packages extend from a basic package suitable for groups of 5-10 (expect 15 drink tickets, a charcuterie platter, marinated olives, dried fruit and nuts, crostini, and pickled vegetables) to a mid-range option suitable for groups of 15-30 ( expect the same as the basic package but with the addition of jam and 15 extra drink tickets) and a full package for groups of 25-30 with 45 drink tickets and an antipasto salad to add to the food picks.

5. There’s always a fun event happening

You’re guaranteed a great time whenever you visit Green Flash Brewing Co but get your timing right and you’re in for an even better time than you anticipated. The brewhouse hosts regular events that aim to pull the local community together in a celebration of all thing’s beer related. Events vary by month, so be sure to check out the schedule before making plans. If the successes of past game nights, pint nights and quiz nights are anything to go by, you’ll have a blast whatever it is.

6. You can sample the beers

Want to sample the offerings before deciding which to buy? At the Green Flash Brewing Co, you can. Its lavish 4000 square foot tasting room allows you the opportunity to test out up to 30 beers, including such firm favorites as West coast IPA, Soul style, Tropical DNA, and GFB Blonde, along with special releases like imperial IPA, Palate Wrecker, Celtic Sun and Baja Bound.

7. It’s got a great gift shop

Who doesn’t love a gift shop? If you want a little reminder of your visit, make sure to check out the gift shop before you leave. Its range of offerings includes such reasonably priced treats as koozies, keychains, soaps, half pint onesies for babies, thermal tumblers, and logo pins. It also offers a range of attire for both men and women, branded glassware, and some handy bar accessories.

8. You can take a tour

If you want to know more about how your favorite beverage is made, you’re in luck. For a mere $6.50, you can grab a place on either a private or public tour of the works. A beer expert will be on hand to give you a fun, informative peek into the world of brewing, and share some inside knowledge about the brewhouse’s history. As an added bonus, you’ll also get to sample some of the award-winning beers you see being made.

9. It’ll get you fit

Let me clarify – beer won’t get you fit. Beer may get you drunk, fat and happy, but fit it most certainly will not. Yoga, on the other hand, just might do. Every month, the Green Flashing Brewery Co-hosts Hoppy Yoga, an event its describes as a marriage of two ancient traditions with proven health benefits. You’ll need to reserve a place online before turning up and be warned- it doesn’t come for free. Each class will cost you $25 but as recompense, you do get a free pint or flight.

10. You’ll be helping good causes

The Green Flashing Brewery Co is a brewhouse with a conscious – as a supporter of Brewing it Forward, it has helped donate over $300,000 for breast cancer non-profits and other charitable endeavors over the past 7 years. By handing over your money (whether it’s for a beer, a sandwich, or a keyring), you’ll be helping support its good work.
