A Closer Look at the Hublot Classic Pink Gold and Diamond

Hublot Classic Pink and Gold Diamond

Horology buffs and jewelry collectors have something in common with the Hublot Classic Pink Gold and Diamond. The gemstones on this timepiece are stunning. Whether you collect watches or diamonds, this will fit right in with your set. Hublot is known for their quality work, and this is no exception. Anyone seeking a little more shimmer in their life can add this to their must-have list. There are many diamond watches on the market, but this one is exceptional.

Hublot History

The Hublot company chose its name from the French word for “Porthole.” We’re not sure if the resemblance between a porthole and a watch is coincidental, but it is interesting. Founded in 1980, Hublot was the brainchild of Carlo Crocco. He left Breil to create his own business, which is a subsidiary of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesy, more commonly known as LVMH. The first watch was known merely as the Hublot. It featured the first natural rubber bracelet used in haute watchmaking. It debuted at Basel and received no orders at the time, yet went on to be hugely successful in the commercial timepiece market.

Changes & Upgrades

For personal reasons Carlo chose to hand the reins to Jean-Claude Biver in 2004, naming him CEO of Hublot. Clearly, Crocco made a wise choice when he sought out Biver. The choice was far from random. In fact, he’d had great success pushing both Blancpain and Omega into the luxury watch world.

Creating the Big Bang line was his first official act as the new CEO. 2005 saw the first release of the oversized Big Bang. Audiences loved it, and so did the world’s horologists. Big Bang won Bahrain’s Watch of the Year Best Oversized Watch that year. It also collected Japan’s Watch of the Year Best Sports Watch and the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix 2005 Design Prize. The next year Biver introduced the Classic Fusion models, of which the Classic Pink Gold and Diamond is only one recent model. While these unique and beautiful watches are inspired by the spirit and design of the Big Bang line, they incorporate new and unusual materials.

By 2011 Hublot had become the official timekeepers and watchmakers for Ferrari. They released the inspired MP Key of Time, which allows the wearer to speed up and slow down the mechanism. The company also released the Tribute to Antikythera. For those who aren’t familiar with the long and storied history of the Antikythera Device, it is first a mechanism for keeping time. Plus it’s also the first computer in human history, predating any modern computer by centuries. You can still find an occasional MP Antikythera, a later model which used the same incredible inspiration source. Though they’ve only been around about forty years, a drop in the bucket for a Swiss watchmaker, Hublot is among the most fantastic and creative companies making commercial watches today. Their design inspirations and singular perspective give all the wristwatches they create individuality and recognizable style all their own.

A Watch With Many Names

The Hublot Pink Gold and Diamonds watch is also known as the Classic Fusion Rose Gold and Diamonds Watch or the Classic Fusion King Gold and Diamonds. Whatever you choose to call it, this watch is breathtakingly beautiful. Some watchmakers try to place as many stones as humanly possible on their projects. The result can look unpleasantly muddled whatever the sales value. Diamonds speak for themselves, and a more streamlined and minimal look can give you just as much appeal, with greater wearability. Such is the case with this timepiece.

Choices

As with all fine commercial watches, there are options when you choose the Hublot Classic Fusion Pink Gold and Diamond watch. Older models like the 2010 sport a double row of stones on the bezel while more recent models have a single row of larger stones. For those who prefer to play up the shine of the diamonds and glitter of gold, a metallic brown background on the face enhances the attractiveness of its other aspects so well, without trying to take center stage. Previous years have offered a black face that gives the same effect.

Anyone with a more colorful personality will appreciate the royal purple watch face option. This regal and polished shade gives an additional and uncommon pop of color for wearers who like to show off their ow colorful personalities in their style of dress. Purple watches are rare enough, but to find one with diamonds is even more unlikely.

The Pave option multiplies the number of diamonds on this watch exponentially. The rose gold on the Pave option takes a backseat to the incredible symmetrical setting of the tiny diamonds all over the face and band. Naturally, the price is substantially higher if you want the astonishing geometry and shine of the Pave variation, but it’s well worth it. A classy, not flashy diamond watch is a must for every true collector.

Final Thoughts

This is truly one of our favorite diamond timepieces because it’s so versatile. Whatever the occasion, you can wear this wristwatch in style. With the combination of the rose gold and dazzle of all the diamonds, it’s hard to find a better piece to show off your panache. Even the pickiest of gemstone connoisseurs can add this to their collection with pride. Hublot knows how to bring the sparkle and mystique of their stones out without eclipsing the timepiece at their heart. Rose gold watches for men are rare enough, but this is one handsome piece. It will keep you on time for that special occasion, or in your day to day routine without missing a second.
