How Ivanka Trump Achieved a Net Worth of $300 Million

Ivanka

Ivanka Trump is a hugely successful businesswoman who has had careers in several fields including fashion design, television, writing, and modelling. She is the daughter of model Ivana Trump and President Donald Trump and was born in New York City on October 30, 1981. It is now estimated that this successful woman has a personal net worth of $300 million and here is how she achieved this.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Ivanka began modelling in her teens at the weekends and in the holidays. She modelled for brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Thierry Mugler, Sasson Jeans, and Marc Bouwer. She was also on the cover of Seventeen magazine when they did a feature of her mother. In her teens, Ivanka also made her television debut when she co-hosted the Miss Teen USA pageant in 1997.

Trump studied for two years at Georgetown University before transferring to Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. It was from there that she graduated cum laude in 2004 with a degree in economics.

After graduating, she worked for Forest City Enterprises before joining the family firm, ‘The Trump Organization’ in 2005 as the Executive Vice-President of Development & Acquisitions. In addition to working with her father’s company, Ivanka Trump began her own business ventures and was elected to the board of 100 Women in Hedge Funds by the other members.

She created her Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry line in 2007 in collaboration with Dynamic Diamond Corp. The flagship store closed down in 2015 and now the only dedicated boutique for her line is at Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York City. However, her brand is available in various outlets across the United States, in Canada, and various other international locations, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait.

Trump also has a range of fashion items, including accessories, shoes, handbags, and clothing. These are sold at major stores, including Hudson’s Bay and Macy’s. She has faced criticism for her products not meeting flammability standards, for producing the items outside the United States, and for the use of rabbit fur in her range. In 2018, Trump decided to shut down her company to pursue a career in public policy.

While Ivanka Trump’s business endeavours are the predominant way she has made her fortune, she has also earned a significant amount of money by becoming a television personality. In 2006, she joined her father’s reality television series ‘The Apprentice’ during season five. Initially, she was filling in for Carolyn Kepcher as a judge. Before the start of season six, it was decided that Trump would permanently replace Kepcher on the series. Trump is also a Judge on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’.

Furthermore, Trump was also a guest judge on the third season of ‘Project Runway’ in 2006 and then on the fourth season of ‘Project Runway All Stars’ In a 2010 episode of ‘Gossip Girl’ Ivanka Trump and her husband appeared as themselves.

Trump has made further money from the sales of her books. TO date, she has written two self-help books. The first of these ‘The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life’ was published in 2009. The second, ‘Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success’ was released in 2017.

Now, Ivanka Trump is focusing on political and social activities as she has stepped down from her father’s company, giving up her own businesses, and is not currently appearing on television. Initially, she worked as a voluntary advisor to her father. However, she has since been appointed as an official Advisor to the President. However, this is an unpaid position, so it will not contribute to her personal net worth of $300 million in any way. She took this position in an official capacity after ethical concerns were made about her accessing information in an unofficial capacity.

In her personal life, Trump began dating real estate developer Jared Kushner in 2005. They had met through friends but separated in 2008 due to the objections of his parents. However, after Trump converted to Judaism, the couple were reunited and married in 2009 in a Jewish ceremony. The couple have gone on two have a daughter and two sons; Arabella, Theodore, and Joseph. Jared Kushner is currently working as the Senior Advisor to the President.
