For those in the know, high-end computers are reaching further, moving faster and coming with a more significant price tag than ever before. Some old favorites like the E-Go are back, still dominating the looks-like-a-purse end of the market. Additionally, there are new names from trusted brands that will smoke the competition in every form of computing known to man. All that, and you can get it from the comfort of home. Whether you’re a professional e-sports gamer, or you expect the finer things in life, you can’t very well keep up if you’re running last year’s model. Since laptops are also PC’s by definition, many of these beauties are also portable.
Honorable Mention – Apple iMacPro: $4859
The iMacPro comes in just below the bottom of the list, but with its stunning computing power, we thought it was worthy of an honorable mention. The gorgeous twenty-seven-inch display is an alluring 5k, and this all in one desktop model has a sweet aluminum case to keep everything where it should be.
10. Alienware Area 51 M15X: $5,000
As mid-size laptops go the Area 51 M15X is a little weighty. It runs from six to seven and a half pounds. We wanted to include it’s new sibling the AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 2950X, which will cost you over eight grand. However, since it’s technically just a tower, it doesn’t really count as a whole PC. Nevertheless, the M15X is the complete package with its dual-core and 800 Mhz of data bus speed. This sleek machine comes with an additional carrying case and mousepad included.
9. 2019 Acer 17.3″ FHD VR Ready Gaming Laptop: $4658.05 – $5500
Acer may not be the go-to name in high-end electronics, but they can turn out a great laptop regardless. While you can catch this one at Walmart prices, the cost does go up if you don’t want to buy from a mega big box shop. Hence, we gave it the second to last slot because lots of people pay full price elsewhere. We love that 8th Gen Intel Hexa-Core i7-8750H and two terabytes of storage space. That’s enough for even the most discerning customers to consider dropping by Wallyworld, if only for long enough to pick up this beauty and hurry back to a classier zipcode.
8.5. MacBook Pro in Gold: $6,000+ (After Market Pick)
The golden 24k MacBook isn’t news, but you can still get one, so we decided to include it here. Of course, a golden laptop is going to be a costly item. You can pick up the basic model at the price listed above. Then again, you could spring for the diamond logo and more than double the cost to a considerable $12328.83 (or about 9995 British pounds). The limited-edition run of diamond logos will only feature ninety-nine models made with the VS1 stones. For your money, you will get an authenticity certificate for those rocks. Goldgenie, who make this aftermarket model also offer custom options in rose gold and platinum.
8. Voodoo Envy H171: $8,500
If this name sounds familiar, it’s because this laptop came out more than a decade ago. However, the demon red voodoo laptops are still highly sought after and desired even after all this time. Since they’ve maintained their value even after HP bought out Voodoo, we considered this a worthy inclusion. In fact, Rahul Sood, who started Voodoo at age 17 with just $1500 from his credit card, has sold custom PCs for as much as $50,000. Voodoo may be an HP trademark these days, which means less expensive variants are available, but the originals are still some of the best.
7. Toshiba Tecra R950 Notebook: $11739.99
The Tecra comes with a gorgeous, shiny, metallic black cover that’s tough enough for work or play no matter where you take it. Who doesn’t love a durable product after all? With a lithium-ion battery and an i7 core from Intel. Tecras are known for their security like the Toshiba EasyGuard features. However, if you want one, order soon because everywhere we checked, they were out of stock.
6. Acer Chromebook Spin 11 R751TN-C5P3 Laptop: $12459.99
The Acer Spin 11 is a high tech machine designed wth student life in mind. With a cover that folds all the way back to turn it into a stand-up model, the stylus option is especially useful. Of course, not a lot of students can swing that twelve thousand dollar price tag, but the ability to write and draw freely is worth the expense.
5. E-Go for Bentley: $20,000
Although it debuted in 2008, the E-Go for Bentley laptop is still massively popular among Bentley lovers, so we gave it a spot on the list. If you want that new car smell wherever you take your laptop, the E-Go for Bentley is the best way to get it without driving your car inside a building. E-Go is known for its luxury laptops, so they were a natural partner for the Bentley automobile company.
4. Orion X2: $43,000
If you’re looking for the absolute extreme in deluxe gaming PCs, the Orion X2 is the pinnacle of the technological art (for now). The Phanteks Elite Full-Tower houses an ingenious double computer. The ‘bigger’ E-ATX Primary System couples brilliantly with a smaller ITX Secondary System to give you the best gaming experience money can buy.
3. Tulip E-Go Diamond: $355,000
E-Go self describes these handbag shaped computers as “electronic jewelry.” With different choices in skins and the addition of diamond details, that certainly sounds accurate to us. Sadly, other than getting a look at the outside, the company doesn’t share the specs with every Tom, Dick, and Harry, who’s just windowshopping. So if you want to find out what you’re really getting you have to arrange it with the seller.
2. Luvaglio: $1 Million
The Luvaglio laptop doesn’t need a fancy name. You turn it on by pressing down on an extremely rare diamond. With skins in exotic woods and ostrich leather among the options, you can see exactly what you’re getting for that hefty price tag: Bragging rights. Of course, you’re also getting a blue ray player and a mid-range computer in terms of power. This machine from the British opulence dynamo is obviously all about the bling.
1. MJ’s Swarovski & Diamond Studded Notebook: $3.5 Million
Ukraine based MJ creates elegant accessories and more. In this case, the ‘more,’ is the diamond-studded laptop you can pick up for a cool 3.5 million dollars. Like the gleaming golden MacBookPro, the MJ Diamond Notebook Laptop is an aftermarket upgrade, but with that much ice on it, we’re not complaining. For those with a bucket list that includes having the finest things in life, this laptop is a must-have.
If you’re Kuro Takhasomi of Team Liquid, the highest-paid pro-e-sports gamer today, you probably have a room full of custom-built machines that make these look like a joke. For the average millionaire, these PCs are a fantastic way to show you have class and money, but you’re still tech-savvy. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be windowshopping for a while longer while we build our fortunes. If you could pick a dream machine off this list would you want one that’s meant to glimmer, or do you think you’d prefer a high-performance beast? Let s know in the comments below.
