Pininfarina PF0 Hypercar To Debut in 2019: 0-60 in Under 2 Seconds

Have you ever thought about what it might be like to have a car that could outperform virtually anything else in existence? If you really love cars, you’ve probably dreamed about this for years. If you have enough money to purchase one, your dreams just might be coming true. A brand new automotive company known as Pininfarina, under the parent company Mahindra, is about to launch the PFO Hypercar. This is an all electric car that can generate more horsepower than you could possibly imagine with a traditional combustion engine. It also has the sleek looks of the best sports cars in the world.

This car is designed to be one of the most high-end all electric sports cars ever made. There are a few other sports cars out there that are also operating with an electric power plant instead of a combustion engine. You can expect the price point for this car to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.5 million dollars, which is about average with the other cars that offer similar performance statistics. While that number might sound extravagant, it’s important to remember that this is not a daily driver. In fact, quite the opposite is true. This is a car that is designed for real performance and it is capable of outperforming virtually anything anyone could potentially throw up against it.

In all, the company plans on making roughly 100 cars before ceasing production. The idea is to create something that is limited in it’s design. Therefore, they have no intention of making a ton of these automobiles to begin with. The car isn’t even set to debut until next year, and full delivery won’t be fulfilled until the following year. With that being said, there are about 12 cars that are being paraded around in order to showcase what the car is capable of doing to potential buyers. The cars that are currently being manufactured are different from the ones that will eventually be purchased and delivered in a couple of years. These 12 cars are exclusively designed as top-of-the-line race cars.

The important thing to know is that there is only one major difference between these race cars and the car that could potentially be yours. Instead of having a battery, the race cars have hydrogen fuel cells. Aside from that, they are virtually identical. If you decide to purchase one of these cars, your own battery-powered, completely electric car can reach a top speed of over 250 miles per hour. It is capable of going from 0 to 60 in less than two seconds and can reach a speed of just over 185 miles per hour in only 12 seconds. As you can see, this is far more performance than most people would even be capable of handling. However, if you know cars and you know how to drive the best sports cars out there, this might be the car you’ve been waiting your whole life to get your hands on.

The company doesn’t plan on stopping with this particular model. Instead, it’s using this model to sort of get ahead of its competitors. Once they are finished working on this project, Pininfarina plans on designing a sedan and an SUV, both with all electric power plants. More and more frequently, it’s becoming obvious that a variety of car manufacturers are choosing to utilize this method to power their cars as opposed to the traditional combustion engine. Finally, technology has come far enough to allow automobile manufacturers to use the electric powertrain because there are fewer limitations placed on it than there used to be.

For example, this particular car can go 300 miles on a single charge. That’s a far cry from the hybrid automobile that used to have to be charged every 30 miles or that can only go about 25 miles per hour. It seems as though the time has finally come when an all electric automobile can deliver more horsepower than ever thought possible and drive further on one charge than most cars can drive on a tank of gas. To say the least, it’s an exciting time for anyone that really loves cars and more importantly, that loves driving them. It also makes people excited for the cars this company will design next.
