The Importance of a Unique Creative Logo Design for Your Company

Small businesses to Fortune 500 companies need a logo that is unique to them. The importance of a unique creative logo design for your company goes beyond great graphic design and font style. You see the Nike swoosh or the McDonald’s arches and you automatically connect the company’s logo with the business. That’s what every small business to Fortune 500 company needs their logo to do. What’s behind the swoosh and the arches that connect a simple logo to a powerful company? Both business logos seem simple. Yet, we connect the logos with something larger. That’s where the need for a unique and creative logo design comes in. Here are just a few of the reasons why creating a logo that is unique, creative, and stands out is important.

First Impressions with Brand Identity

They say first impressions are everything. The same is true when it comes to your business’s brand identity. Brand identity is a mix of how potential customers see your brand visually. This includes everything from the color palette your business uses to advertise to the special touches you put on your product packaging. The biggest element of your company’s brand identity is, you guessed it, your business logo. Your logo is what will attract potential customers and stay familiar with present customers. You want to ensure that your logo conveys the message and look that you want your company to convey. That’s because,  most of the time, your logo will be your first impression to the consumers you’re trying to reach.

Your Business Logo is Everywhere

Anywhere mention of your business is, you will find your business logo. Company logos are found on everything from product packaging to business letterheads. When you send out advertisements or correspondence on your company, your logo will be there. Creating the perfect business logo ensures that it looks great on the packaging you send your products out in. As well as formal enough to include on late notices for your company’s services. This means you need to create a creative logo design to fit your product and services. If you move your company logo to a bumper sticker to letterheads and it doesn’t look as great as it did as a bumper sticker — it’s time to reconsider your logo design.

Crush the Competition’s Logo

Let’s say you want to start a dog grooming business in your local area. Even if there aren’t many local dog groomers, your local people have been taking their dogs somewhere to be groomed. You need to stand apart from the competition if you want to be noticed for your grooming skills. The design of your business logo plays a major part in that. For example, let’s say you do a Google search for “dog grooming logos”. The results will consist of your typical and overused logos aimed at dog groomers. The dog in a bubble bath. A pair of scissors and combs crisscrossed. You never want a potential customer to see your logo and have to question who it belongs to. Even a simple business logo can convey a lot more than a generic logo.

Unique Logos and Brand Loyalty

Let’s cut to the chase. Brand loyalty is where the money is at. In high school, I remember wearing Adidas shoes because they were popular. But, in order for me to wear them, they had to have the Adidas logo on them. How else would anyone know who my shoes were made by? The logo you share with the world is what people will flaunt when they talk about your business. Business logos are one of the first things people share when they speak about your products or services.

Visual Appeal and Creative Logos

Have you ever stumbled upon a super long post on social media and thought to yourself, “Yeah. I’m not reading all of that.”? If so, you’re not alone. It’s no wonder our timelines no longer consist of long paragraphs. Instead, they include short memes, funny cat videos, and hilarious pictures of kids doing kid things. Our world thrives on a busy pace and with all life demands of us, spending five minutes reading a Facebook post isn’t in the cards. I’m familiar with the way Facebook had advertisements thrown into our feeds. There have been plenty of times where a company’s logo has made me scroll back up and see what they are about. It wasn’t the text in the post or what they were offering. It was the visual appeal of the business that drew me in.

Your Company’s Logo Design is a Direct Representation of Who Your Company Is

The above statement says it all. The reason behind why your logo design should be creative and unique is because your company’s logo is a direct representation of who your company is and what your company does. Your business logo is the first and lasting impression. It sets you apart from the competition, shares your values, and conveys your message. All while directing current and potential customers right back to you.
