The popular holiday destination is located in the Indonesian Archipelego and was highlighted in the hit film Eat, Pray, Love. 5. Tanah Lot Temple

Tourists to Bali won’t want miss visiting some of the most important and stunning temples in Asia. The famous landmark, Tanah Lot Temple, is perched on a rocky outcrop with waves crashing at the base. The iconic temple is recognizable as a quintessential image of Bali.The holy place attracts countless tourists annually hoping to capture a stunning selfie of the unique Hindu shrine. According to local lore it was passed down to the people by Rsi Markandeya a holy man from the eight century. The elevated position offers a welcome cool respite from the high temperatures and tourist come to admire the stunning scenery. There are popular walking trails through the paddy fields and visitors can also enjoy the view of the terraces from many restaurants in the area.
