Brooklyn is one of the five boroughs of New York City and there are plenty of things to see and do for those who are visiting the area. In fact, there is so much to do when spending time there that it is difficult for first-time visitors to decide which activities they should include in their vacation itinerary. If you are visiting this part of New York for the first time, here are ten things that you should try to do during your stay in Brooklyn.

1. Stay in a Top Hotel

Your first big decision is where to stay as the accommodation you choose is the factor that can make the biggest difference to your enjoyment of spending time in Brooklyn. To make your experience truly special, you should opt for a luxurious five-star hotel. 2. Dine in the Best Restaurants

Brooklyn is a fantastic place for dining out as there are restaurants to suit all budgets and occasions. There are also examples of cuisine from all four corners of the globe. If you want to treat yourself during a stay in this part of the city, you should try some of the upscale venues. Aska is a Scandinavian restaurant that serves seasonal tasting menus paired with wine. The best option for new American fare is Atera, which serves American tasting menus and cocktails. For those who enjoy Asian flavors, there is Jungsik. This is a high-end Korean restaurant in a contemporary setting that has an extensive wine list.

3. Have Fun at the Amusement Parks

The most fun attraction in Brooklyn are the amusement parks and these are something that will entertain all ages. Head to Coney Island where you will find Luna Park and the Cyclone Roller Coaster. 6. Go to the Zoo

A fun day out for people of all ages is a trip to the zoo. Prospect Park Zoo is a 12-acre menagerie that is home to 125 species and is located on the eastern side of Prospect Park. This attraction has been open since 1890 and is both fun and educational. Visitors can get up close to the animals and learn more about each species.

Another fantastic way to spend a day in Brooklyn is a visit to the Aquarium. The New York Aquarium is located on the Coney Island Boardwalk and has interesting live exhibits of marine life. It also hosts daily sea lion shows.

An interesting activity to enjoy is a brewery tour. Brooklyn Brewery offers guided tours of its facilities that allow visitors to learn about the creation process. They also offer tastings of their products.

9. Stroll in the Parks

Although Brooklyn is predominantly urbanized, there are some beautiful inner-city parks and gardens that make you feel as though you have escaped from the city to the countryside. Beautiful places to visit include Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Fort Greene Park, and East River State Park.

10. Take a Trip on the Staten Island Ferry

Brooklyn is connected to Staten Island by a bridge, so accessing this borough of New York City is easy. Once there, you can take a trip on the famous Staten Island Ferry to Manhattan. This is a great way to visit different parts of the city and to view the city skyline from a different perspective.
