How Tony Robbins Achieved a Net Worth of $500 Million

As a public speaker, I am familiar with a lot of names in the business. There are definitely some high performers out there who not only know who to connect with a crowd, but they know how to communicate the mechanisms of change. At the top of that list is Tony Robbins. Tony’s story is nothing short of Amazing. When studying successful people, I only study those who have, in some way, overcome the odds to reach the level that they have reached. Tony definitely meets that criteria.

Tony Robbins has risen for obscurity and poverty to being arguably the top speaker and life-change strategist in the world. I had to sit down my ego to write that last sentence, but I have learned a lot from Tony. So, as you can imagine, when I received the request to write an article about how he achieved his net worth, I jump at it. As of 2019, Tony Robbins is believed to have a net worth of $500 million.

So, how did Tony amass such great wealth?

Let’s start with the obvious. He is the leading motivational speaker in the world. While he does not like being referred to as a motivational speaker, we understand what category that falls under. According to a source, Tony is paid as much as $300,000 for one speech. In fact, it is believed that a substantial portion of his income and his wealth can be attributed to his speaking fees. He also has a program entitled Unleash the Power Within, which nets him a remarkable $9 million annually. That’s right, one program is producing $9 million each year. He also has another life-mastery program in which 2,000 lucky people pay $10,000 each to participate. Now add up the fact that Tony has been doing this for over a quarter of a century, and he is not even 60 yet.

While Tony has been known to donate all of the proceeds from his best-selling books to his passion of feeding the hungry, the exposure and reach of those books serve to open up other business opportunities for him. His book, Money: Master the Game, has produced some phenomenal numbers and open up opportunities for Tony to work with clients who want to optimize their financial situation. It has also earned him an audience with the likes of Warren Buffet and Ray Dalio.

Investments

Tony has over 30 companies operating in more than 100 countries. He also owns a resort in Figi. What is it about Tony that has made him so successful? Having studied him intensely, I would say that it is his unrelenting desire to learn and grow in order to become better at helping people overcome the obstacles in their lives. He is one of the few speakers, other than yours truly, who literally confronts issues at his live events. He does not only speak in the way of principles and philosophy, but he also applies what he is teaching in practical ways in real time. If you have not attended one of his events, you need to do so. Tony also understands the power of mental preparation, reading and learning for a minimum of one hour per day.

While his different business adventures vary, they all have one thing in common — they are operated from a platform of confidence and concern for those people who work for him. Because he infuses his philosophy into the way that he runs his companies, they are all designed and managed to run exceptionally efficient. The efficiency at which Tony’s companies are run is another thing that contributes to the rapid growth of his wealth. Like everyone, there are times when there are setbacks and losses, but Robbins cuts back on the frequency at which these types of setbacks occur. He is also very good at teaching others how to do the same thing.

The fact that Tony is highly effective in teaching people how to practice the principles he lives by, that success continues to translate into more earning opportunities. If Tony continues going at the pace that he is currently going, it is likely that he will reach billionaire status within the next five to seven years.
