What Does it Cost to Attend a Pittsburgh Pirates Game?

How much do you think it would cost to attend a Pittsburgh Pirates game? It seems like nothing is really economical these days, so you might be surprised to learn that if you’re so inclined, you can actually attend the game for as little as $7 per person. Of course, that means that you’re buying the cheapest seats in the house. It also means that you’re not buying anything else so you can forget about a trip to the concession stand. The bigger issue might be that if you really want to see the game for that price, you’re going to have to walk to the stadium in order to do it.

While it’s easy to get excited when you see $7 next to the cost of a ticket, it’s also important to stop and think about what you’re getting for your money. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the seats are bad, but if you really want to enjoy an entire game that means you’ll be spending several hours there. Therefore, you might want to go ahead and expand your budget just a little so you can have a few comforts while you’re there, at least. In order to get a better idea of how much you should really expect to spend if you want to have a little bit of fun, go ahead and read through the paragraphs below. Fortunately, it’s still one of the more economical activities you can do, especially when compared to other ball games.

You’re in the Driver’s Seat when it Comes to the Cost of a Ticket

It’s already been established that if you’re in the mood to save some serious cash, you can purchase tickets for as little as $7 each. That being said, you can also get some really good seats and spend a little more cash. If that’s your preference, your seats will probably cost you about $65. All things considered, that’s still a bargain, especially when you consider the quality of the seats in question. Of course, there are all kinds of options that you can choose in between, effectively giving you the opportunity to get some halfway decent seats for a price that isn’t likely to break the bank.

What about Food?

If you’re being completely honest with yourself, you would probably be the first to admit that it’s really not a ball game if you don’t go to the concession stand at least once. It doesn’t have anything to do with the need to eat at the game, but instead, it’s about enjoying the entire experience. Since going to the concession stand is very much a part of the experience, it’s important that you set aside at least a little bit of money so you can enjoy it to the fullest. In this particular case, you can get by for as little as $10 but if you want a few more options available to you, go ahead and plan on spending $25 or maybe even $30. While you can certainly do it on a budget, sometimes it’s just more fun to have the extra money on hand in case you decide you want to do something different. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to spend it, and in this particular case, you can get by for about ten bucks without feeling like you missed out on something important.

Getting There

Last but certainly not least, you have to consider how much it will cost you to travel to the stadium and park. It’s interesting to think about the number of people that don’t consider gas money when they’re driving to an event, and even fewer consider the amount that they’re going to have to pay for parking once they get there. In this location, parking isn’t terribly expensive. In order to get a decent parking spot that’s not too far from the stadium, you can spend anywhere from $10 to $20 in cash. That’s considerably less than you would expect to pay in a lot of other areas. Of course, if you’re really on a tight budget and you don’t want to spend the extra cash, you can always find other means of transportation.

To recap, it’s possible for you to go to a game here for less than $10. If you want to eat, the whole day might cost you $20 or $30, depending on how hungry you are. If you’re paying for parking, it’s a slightly different story but it’s still not that much more. This is especially true if everybody shares in the cost of parking since everyone is getting to go to the game. When it’s all said and done, going to a Pittsburgh Pirates game remains one of the more affordable things that you can do.
