What To Wear Outside This Winter

A lot of people find dressing for the outdoors difficult in winter: clothes and footwear can be bulky and uncomfortable. But if you know what to wear, it can be fun. This winter I’m loving these styles — especially the footwear, I’m so into boots (for my whole family) right now — for playing in the great outdoors around my Colorado home.

1. Autumn Flowers Henley Shirt

I am totally in love with the Autumn Flowers Henley Shirt by Alp N Rock. I could spend all winter in it. The color alone is mesmerizing — I just love the teal with the charcoal sleeves. But then you factor in the wonderfully detailed embroidery around the color and on the sleeves and it becomes a work of art. The material is also great, heavier than an average T-shirt and it works great layered under a vest or jacket. The shirt fits true to size and I like the length.

2. Courchevel Jacket

Speaking of jackets, the above shirt pairs great with this Courcheval Jacket also by Alp N Rock. The coat has a fun rock n roll vibe that works great for nights out, whether in the big city or a ski town. I like how customizable this jacket is as well. The faux fur cuffs, for example, are removable, so if you want a little less bling to your look you can take them off — also great if you want to take this coat on an active adventure before hitting the bar. It’s also super comfy to wear with or without the cuffs.

3. Rogue Hiker Boot

When it comes to boots, for myself I am loving the Rogue Hiker boot by Kamik. It is elegant and modern in its style and can be worn equally well on the trail or in the restaurant afterwards. I love the soft fleece lining that keeps my feet really warm. The boot also has fun color pops thanks to the felt trim. It performs on the trail as well with a 14F comfort rating and seam-sealed waterproof construction, which means my feet stay warm and dry even when I trip into a deep, slush hole.

4. Yukon 6 Men’s Boot

My husband was stoked when I surprised him for Christmas with this boot by Kamik. The Yukon 6 is a super versatile boot that works great whether it is the middle of winter or the chilly beginning to the spring mud season. The boots are stylish and feature 3MTM ThinsulateTM insulation to keep feet warm. The rubber bottoms also make sure to keep your foot dry and are light enough weight wise to not feel clunky.

5. Stance Toddler Snow Boot

Now that my little man is walking he is loving playing in the snow. This year I got him the Stance Snow Boot for Toddlers from Kamik. I like the style — it goes with pretty much anything my son is wearing — and is unisex and comes in a variety of colors from black to pink. The boot is also 100% waterproof made with the company’s signature DriDefense membranes. And they keep your toddler’s feet warm as well as dry.
