We’ve seen retailers in stiff competition before but there’s never been a battle like the one we’re seeing among sneaker manufacturers. Nike, Adidas, and BBB are three of the top contenders with their specialty lines that are unarguably and in fact very special. There’s yet another sneaker that is giving the Adidas Yeezy a run for its money. It’s the Nike Supreme CDG. In particular, the Supreme x Comme des Garcons Shirt Nike Air Force 1. The shoe is scheduled for release in November 2018 and we’re already seeing chaos break out. If you’re hoping to be among the first to own a pair and you haven’t yet pre-ordered, here are some things you need to know.
It’s being launched this month
The time is upon us and the new sneaker is almost ready for shipment. We’re told that it’s going to be stocked on vendor shelves and that it won’t be difficult to find them. While this is good news, it’s hard to believe that they’re going to be readily available. With the high anticipation and the huge demand, we can only hope that Nike is planning to manufacture them in mass quantity. Why? They’re different in a good way.
Why they may be hard to find
The first reason we believe that the new release of the Supreme CDG Air Force 1 is going to create a flurry of buying is that there’s already a fuss being made over them. Everywhere you look, somebody’s voicing an opinion. People are talking and if they’re talking it means that the hype over the new release is building. We’re assuming that they’ll be available on November 8th, along with the other products in the CDG line, but this hasn’t yet been confirmed.
New colors and materials
In addition to being a highly desired sneaker, the new edition is undergoing some evolutionary changes. It’s still offered in the classy black and white, but the new release will also offer the AF1 in several new colorways. Some fans are going to buy multiple pairs. On top of this, they’re coming out with some varieties in a flyknit with premium leather materials. It’s great to see that Nike is all about making upgrades and these are certain to be appreciated by enthusiasts. We’re feeling the tension mounting and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the initial wave of new releases fly off the shelves. We must also remember that the release date comes just prior to the biggest shopping season of the year. You think they’d make great Christmas gifts?
The pre-sale prices are already high
We started researching the pre-sale prices for the Nike CDG collection and we’re already seeing the prices start to climb upwards. This serves as an indication that they are probably going to be hard to find on retail shelves. Sure, there will be a lot of them out there, but the issue is going to be getting there to buy yours before the brick and mortar retailers are sold out.
Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme Comme Des Garcons Shirt
What makes this variation so unique is the fact that it is a part of a collection that includes other sportswear with matching designs for completing a total ensemble and they’re sharp. So far we’ve seen the Comme des Garcon’s Shirt variant in the white with black going for as high as $675 from two online retailers. The Black version is priced at around $500 to $575 and bidding sites are placing them at these figures for the starting bid. It remains to be seen how high they will reach. This depends on how quickly they fly off the shelves.
The odds are in favor of the shoes going quickly and it’s best to be prepared for that in case it happens. It’s preferable to pick up yours as soon after the release date as possible. We still don’t know the precise release date, although we’ve heard rumors. If you’re excited about getting yours, you can imagine that there are thousands of others who feel the same way. The best advice that we can give is to keep your eyes and ears opened and inquire about the release date through Nike’s official site or your favorite retailer that carries the brand.
