What’s It’s Like to Fly an Emirates 777 First Class

Emirates Airlines markets their first class cabins in such a way that it really makes you want to book a flight in order to see what it’s all about. They claim that it’s almost like having your own jet all to yourself. Of course, advertising can be a lot different than the reality of the situation. If you really want to know what it’s like to fly in the first class cabin on Emirates airliner such as the 777, keep reading to find out whether or not you think this is the right option for you.

The first thing you’re likely to notice is that all of the first class suites are completely closed off. Once you get to your seat, all you have to do is close the door and you have that space entirely to yourself. It’s also designed fairly well so that you can’t hear any of the other passengers. Of course, the airline provides you with headphones just in case somebody gets especially rowdy. It doesn’t matter if you want privacy in order to get some work done or you just want to be left alone to lounge around for the duration of the flight, having a comfortable seat that lies flat in a suite that is completely closed off really can make all the difference between a flight that’s extremely enjoyable and one that you’re struggling to get through.

Of course, you wouldn’t expect an airline to go to all this trouble to give you a suite that’s just for you without giving you a few amenities to go with it. You can enjoy a nice, soft pillow and a warm blanket, right along with your standard amenity kits that offer things like soap, shampoo, toothpaste and a comb. The thing that really sets this airline apart from the rest is that you can have access to a shower that also serves as a spa. Fortunately, the flights are usually long enough that you can book a decent block of time with the shower so you don’t feel rushed. It truly is one of the best experiences that you’re ever likely to have on any airline, no matter what class you’re flying in.

There’s plenty of space to work and more than enough room to plug everything in, even if you’ve got several devices going all at one time. In addition, you have the opportunity to enjoy watching the screen in front of you. If you want, go ahead and tune into a movie or your favorite television show. Of course, there are also several musical selections to choose from, so you shouldn’t have to worry about staying entertained during the flight, no matter how long it is.

There’s another thing that Emirates does aside from the spa shower that also sets them apart from just about everybody else when it comes to first class service. They give you an extensive menu that includes some of the freshest and best tasting food you’ll ever find, especially on an airplane. In reality, this food tastes a lot more like you’re eating at a fine restaurant. They rotate different menu items in and out so there’s always something new. That way their more frequent first-class passengers don’t get tired of having the same old choices all the time. In addition, you can order that menu any time you want. It doesn’t matter if the airplane has just gotten into the air or if you’ve been flying for a while, you can eat what you want when you want as opposed to being told when the meal will be served.

There’s no doubt about it, you really do feel like you’re on top of the world when you’re flying first class in an Emirates 777, no pun intended. The beautiful wood grain finishes and the fact that you can close a real door that gives you total privacy really does up the ante. In fact, it changes the face of air travel for the better. It’s one of the best ways for you to land fully recharged and ready to go, whether you’re traveling to your location for business or fun. When you fly like this, you don’t have to worry about things like jet lag because you have the chance to get all the rest and relaxation you could ever want while you’re still in the air.

Of course, you have to know that all of this luxury is going to come at a price. If you’re flying out of a place like Dallas and you’re headed toward Dubai, expect that first class ticket to cost you about $27,000. If you think that’s expensive, try taking the flight from Dallas to Sydney and the price goes up by another $9,000. That being said, it’s definitely an experience that’s worth having, provided you have the means to enjoy it.
