The 10 Richest Real Housewives on Television in 2019

Kyle Richards

The Real Housewives can be a real handful, and they don’t always get along, but one thing is certain, they’re living the high life. Beautiful homes, nice cars, sexy clothing, and spa days are the gold standard for a Real Housewife. However, even on a show like this one where you get a peek at the lives of the rich and famous things aren’t exactly equal. Some of the housewives have a whole lot more than others. Who makes the most in a year? We’ll let you know. These are the top ten richest Real Housewives.

10. Shannon Beador: $20 Million

This fifty-five yea old divorcee rose to fame through her role on Real Housewives of Orange County. She was married to David Beador until 2017. The couple has three children together and shares joint custody. Most of her income is from the generous $30,000 per month spousal and child support that came from her divorce. According to her divorce documents, the star claimed a hefty $37,767 monthly as her salary from the show. Some of her net worth may also come from the $9 million sale of her eco-friendly Crystal Cove home.

9. Dorinda Medley: $20 Million

Though some of Dorindas money no doubt comes from her role on Real Housewives of New York, she has also had more than one business. When she moved to London to be with her first husband, she decided to work for herself. Dorinda’s cashmere company, DCL Cashmere, had some big-name clients. Among them was none other than Princess Diana. After selling her first business and moving back to the states when she divorced, Dorinda became a Real Estate Broker. She married Richard Medley after the couple met when she sold him a townhome. Sadly Richard passed away in 2011, but by 2015 she’d landed the role on RHWNY. Her salary on the show has never been public knowledge, but some stars make as much as $250,000 per season according to Heavy.com.

8. Luann de Lesseps: $25 Million

This former Countess was once married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps. Most of her money comes from a rather lucrative divorce, but as a Real Housewife of New York, she makes a reported $20,000 per scene she’s in. Luann is a lady of leisure and doesn’t have to work, but no doubt the salary from the show helps to keep her in the style to which she has become accustomed.

7. Bethenny Frankel: $25-55 Million (or more)

We’re not sure exactly how much Bethenny is worth, but it’s no less than twenty-five million. She owned Skinnygirl Liquor but sold off the company in 2011 for a cool hundred million. Moreover, Bethenny is no stranger to reality stardom. In addition to her time as a Real Housewife of New York, she has also starred in her spinoffs, Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After. On top of all those shows and her former booze business, Bethenny has also written at least five books.

6. Tinsley Mortimer: $35 Million

Adorable dog-loving Tinsley Mortimer didn’t make her money off her reality career, at least not most of it. Before she ever made it to the silver screen, this businesswoman was a serious real estate mogul, and she worked with Samantha Thavasa to create an incredibly successful line of handbags. Like Bethenny, she is also an author, though she’s only written one novel so far. It’s called Southern Charm, and it gives readers insight into the world of Tinsley.

5. Kandi Buress: $35 Million

Some fans only know Kandi from her time on Real Housewives of Atlanta, but anyone who’s been paying attention knows that this glamorous gal was in the music industry before she moved over to reality stardom. She first gained the notice of the public as a member of R&B sensation Xscape, but Kandi wasn’t done with music after the group stopped touring. Instead, she parlayed her experience into a successful songwriting career. All that hard work paid off with millions of fans and millions of dollars.

4. Dorit Kemsley: $50 Million

Fashion designer Dorit Kemsley shares her net worth with her husband Paul who works two jobs as a celebrity manager and real estate developer. As Lisa Vanderpumps personal designer, Dorit was brought into the world of reality TV by her client, and it seems that has worked out well for her so far. As a star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her salary from the show is just another part of the Kemsley wealth.

3. Carole Radziwel: $50 Million

Carole doesn’t throw her title around, but she’s actually a princess. Her husband Anthony Radziwill, the son of Polish Prince Stanislas Albert Radziwill, passed away in 1999, but her ties to a real royal family remain. We weren’t able to uncover her exact salary from the show, or any information on what being a princess is worth. However, Carole did write two books. The first one about her husband was called What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love. The second book is called The Widow’s Guide to Sex & Dating.

2. Kyle Richards: $50 Million

To begin with, Kyle’s Real Housewives salary is $270,000 per season. That contributes a fair chunk to her net worth. As Housewives go, she probably has the longest history as an actress. Kyle started out acting at just five years old. Though this Housewife makes her money on reality these days, she’s been on screen for decades, and it’s paid off. From Little House on the Prarie to Halloween and The Apprentice, Kyle has kept busy making her fortune.

1. Lisa Vanderpump: $75 Million

Lisa has made her fortune selling off bars in England among other ventures. As the wealthiest of all the Housewives, she will certainly be missed if she chooses to exit the show this year. Of course, Lisa won’t exactly be hurting for cash if she quits this job. She makes $500,000 per season as a Housewife and the same for her part in Vanderpump Rules according to Refinery 29. Without that money, she would still have a restaurant empire and a vast fortune to fall back on.

Final Thoughts

Casual observers who don’t watch the Real Housewives franchise might assume that these ladies all got their income from their husbands. Sure, some did, but an equal number of these incredible beauties worked for their own money. We enjoy all the permutations of Real Housewives, but knowing more about their other ventures gives us a new perspective and in many cases new respect for the Housewives.
