How 2 Chainz Achieved a Net Worth of $6 Million

Born in the South, Tauheed Epps should be better-known to most people out there under his stage name 2 Chainz. In short, he is a rapper of some note, as shown by the fact that he has released successful albums as well as successful singles. Combined with his other activities, 2 Chainz’s rap music has made him rich, sufficiently so that there are sources that estimate his current net worth to be around $6 million. Granted, said figure is bound to have the same inaccuracies as similar estimates produced using incomplete information, but it is nonetheless useful for interested individuals to get the general gist of things.

How Did 2 Chainz Reach His Current Net Worth?

For those who are curious, 2 Chainz was born in a city called College Park, which sits to the south of the city of Atlanta. Reportedly, he was a good student when he was in high school, so much so that he graduated second in his entire class. In fact, it is interesting to note that there have been rumors of 2 Chainz maintaining a 4.0 GPA when he was in college, though he has personally stated that this wasn’t the case but rather a rumor that remains persistent in spite of his efforts to curb it. Whatever the case, 2 Chainz went to college, transferred to another college for some time, went back to his previous college, and then proceeded to graduate.

Eventually, 2 Chainz formed a hip hop duo called Playaz Circle with his friend from high school. However, it is interesting to note that his stage name at the time was Tity Boi rather than what it is now, which was a decision intended to make him seem more family-friendly. Regardless, Playaz Circle managed to become well-acquainted with Ludacris at around the time of Ludacris’s rise, which soon resulted in the two being signed to his record label.

Playaz Circle released one album with Ludacris’s record label before 2 Chainz departed because he believed that he could better-advance his career elsewhere. There was some initial reluctance on Ludacris’s part because he believed that 2 Chainz had potential, but eventually, he was convinced to let the latter go. In time, this led to a remarkably successful mixtape, which resulted in 2 Chainz collaborating with successful artists on their music. Something that paved the way for his own album release. Suffice to say that 2 Chainz’s music found success with a wide range of listeners, as shown by the fact that he has gone on tour to locations situated throughout the world.

With that said, while it seems probable that 2 Chainz has built up most of his net worth through either his music or his music-related activities, some of that has come from his other activities as well. For example, 2 Chainz is the host of Most Expensivest, which is focused on showcasing some of the most expensive and thus most exclusive products and services that can be found out there. However, what has enabled the show to continue to the present day is 2 Chainz’s presentation of its subject matter, which comes with a sizable helping of humorous insight. Something that becomes particularly apparent whenever 2 Chainz sees something that he considers to be either amusing or ridiculous for whatever reason. Besides this, it should be mentioned that 2 Chainz has dabbled in business to some extent as well. For example, he has his own line of hoodies. Likewise, he has his own line of sweaters as well.

Summed up, it is clear that 2 Chainz has built up his net worth by using similar methods to other successful rappers. Primarily, he has earned most of his wealth through his music and his music-related activities. However, he has the reputation that he has built up through his music to launch other ventures as well, which have met with a fair amount of success.

Final Thoughts

Currently, 2 Chainz remains active in the music industry. For proof, look no further than the fact that his fifth album has just been released in 2018. As a result, while his net worth is estimated to be around $6 million at the present time, it seems reasonable to speculate that it will go higher in the times to come, particularly as he continues to engage in the various revenue-earning activities that he is known for.
