A recent phenomenon has been happening within the shoe industry. It’s been a battle royale between the brands offering the latest special editions in celebrity endorsed footwear. These days sneaker news is big news and when there’s a new edition coming out in the most highly celebrated lines, anticipation is high. We have the sports minded who are looking for good looks along with performance in technical basketball court shoes, those who just want a little color and bling with their comfort kicks and those who are seriously hooked on their favorite model and can’t wait for the new lineup to appear. Sacai’s layered Nike classics

The fifth most highly anticipated sneaker release for the new year is Scai’s layered Nike classics. If you’re not yet familiar with the shoe, it’s the collaborative effort of Japanese fashion authority Sacai and the timeless footwear brand Nike in their venture for 2019. We’re told that we can expect to see the 2019 edition come out in its multi-layered and wildly exaggerated blazer with the LDV waffle sometime early in 2019. The Air Jordan 11 “Bred” for Holiday 2019

How could it be possible that an Air Jordan wouldn’t make the top five of the most highly anticipated list. The new Jordan 11 Bred for Holiday featuring the new shape of the sneaker which has now become tradition for the model. It is believed that the new Bred colorway is destined to go beyond the Space Jam and Concord in popularity and sales. Nike has every reason to believe that this shoe will become their next best seller but we’ll just have to wait and see. Regardless, die-hard fans of the model are anxiously awaiting the release of their favorite kicks.

Nike’s self-lacing HyperAdapt basketball Shoe

Nike is in the running with another top 5 shoe with the self-lacing HyperAdapt basketball shoe. They’re taking technicality to the limits in this specially designed shoe that is made for the basketball court. The Elecro Adaptive Reactive Lacing system, also known as EARL, made its debut in 2015 and it’s not about to go anywhere soon. We know that fans of the EARL system are eagerly awaiting the release of the new editions but we’ve not yet been told when they’re scheduled to be released, so keep your ear to the ground for the rumblings of a release date.

Kanye West’s adidas YEEZY basketball shoe

Yeezy basketball shoes are the rage for the Adidas brand. Kanye West’s design has taken the center of the stage with this ultra popular sneaker that is the second most highly anticipated sneaker in the entire world. The casual shoe is set to make another debut with a ton of reflective panels and such loud details that it might not be allowed on any NBA court because of the distraction it could cause. The shoes seem to follow along the same lines of Kanye’s vibrant personality. There’s a surprise in store every now and then and we’re still waiting to get the scoop on when these shoes will become available and how many that Adidas is planning to release in the initial run.

Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG

Nike is still number one when it comes to the most highly anticipated shoe that’s set for release in 2011. It’s the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. This shoe is the collaborative effort of the rapper from Houston who has been working on a great many collaborations with the Jordan line of the Nike brand. The air Jordan 1 will display the revered Nike Swoosh logo and is anticipated to be the biggest hit of the season for sneaker fans.
