10 Benefits of Having a Gordmans Credit Card

Gordmans is a popular off-price department store that is located in several Midwestern states. They have recently launched their own credit card that comes with several benefits when you shop in store and at other selected retailers. These benefits are discussed in more detail below.  Here are 10 of the best benefits of having a Gordman’s credit card.

1. Discount When You First Use The Card

When you use your card for the first time you will be given a 15% discount on your whole purchase. If you are planning on spending a lot of money at Gordmans then you can save yourself a lot of money by applying for a credit card and using it. You can then choose to pay the balance in full when you receive your first statement or spread the cost by making smaller payments each month.

2. More Points Towards Their Reward Club

Using the Gordman credit card is the quickest way to earn points for their reward club. You will earn 2 points for every $1 you spend on the card which is four times more than you would earn when using a different payment method. When you reach 100 points you will be given a $5 reward voucher which can be spent as you want in store.

3. No Limit On The Points That You Receive

There are no limits on the amount of points that you can earn through using your credit card. This means that if you shop at Gordmans on a regular basis then you will soon start to accumulate points that get you money off vouchers. If you always use your credit card then these points will be accumulated even faster.

4. Discount On Your Birthday

Every year on your birthday you will be eligible for a 20% discount on all purchases you make in Gordmans on that day. You will have needed to have used your card on a number of other occasions throughout the year to qualify for this bonus.

5. No Annual Fee

There is no annual fee that is charged on this card. The APR is slightly higher than you might find on reward credit cards but the fact that there is no annual fee helps to offset these charges. The only time that you will pay any interest on this card is if you do not pay off the balance in full every month.

6. It Is Managed By Comenity Bank

Comenity Bank operates the Gordman’s credit card and manages all accounts. Comenity specializes in providing store cards for hundreds of retailers all over the United States so you can be sure that you are in good hands. They have a great deal of experience in operating this type of card and this will also offer you some protection if Gordmans were to go through any insolvency.

7. You Can Add An Authorized Buyer

You are able to add another person as an authorized buyer to your account so they can make purchases as well. The authorized buyer will have a card of their own but all their spending will go onto your account. You will be the only person that is liable for repayments as it is your account so this is something that you need to bear in mind. An authorized buyer can be added to your account at any time.

8. There Are Several Ways To Pay

There are a number of ways that you can pay your credit card bill which makes it more convenient for you. You can pay directly from your debit card over the phone or online. If you prefer to make payments in cash then this can be done by making a payment in your local store.

9. Cardholders Get Special Discounts And Promotions

As a cardholder you will be eligible for discounts and promotions that are not available to other customers. These will be sent to you via the avenues that you have agreed to receive marketing communications through. You may also get offers with your statement each month.

10. Access To Your Account Online

You are able to manage your account completely online if this is something that you want to do. You can check your balance at any time and make payments via the online portal. This makes it much easier to make sure that you keep track of your spending as you won’t have to wait for your statement to come through each month.
