Most professional businessmen and women are familiar with LinkedIn. It's a subscription site that is designed to link professionals within a wide variety of industries throughout the world with advertising and a variety of online advantages. The site offers a few different packages that improve access to data, training and useful analytics tools, but the service comes at a price. If you've been considering subscribing to the LinkedIn Premium here's everything that you need to know before making your final decision.

Linkedin was acquired by Microsoft

In February of 2017, the LinkedIn company became a subsidiary of Microsoft and as such the existing datasets have been improved and new ones have been added for subscribers. New features have since been added and what worked well for some is now even better.

What you get with a premium subscription to LinkedIn

You get access to news and trending storylines in various sectors of business. In addition to this, you also have access to a variety of data sets that provide you with useful information about company details, salary and useful statistics that help you make decisions about your own business The messaging interface allows you to contact and converse with professionals who are also registered on the site. This allows you to form useful networks and exchange information with others who are in the same or other industries. Educational resources and courses are also available on the LinkedIn Learning platform. After making the acquisition of Lynda.com they added yet more registered users and news.

What does Premium cost?

LinkedIn offers premium plans with a variety of options. They are available four tiers. The higher paying premium plans grant access to more special features and data. While some don't want to pay the high costs and wonder if it's really worth the cost, there are quite a few who will tell you that for them, it's money well-spent.
