The iLDock company is a new startup business with its base in Los Angeles, California. We only have the first names of most of the developers. Lance is the founder of the company. He has eight years of electrical engineering experience under his belt, making iPhone related products. Matthew and Will Kao are also co-founders. Matthew is an expert in marketing and business development and Will Kao is an expert in supply chain and manufacturing. Will has kept the operation running on time within the established schedule. The developers do not take credit for the trademark of these products as they will remain under the umbrella of the Apple corporation.

Timeline and evolution of iLDock

It all began in January of 2016 with the inception of the concept. By March 2016, the design team had completed their contributions. By May, the team reached the sampling stage and by June 2016 they were at the tooling and adjusting phase of the project. The Kickstarter campaign was started in September 2016 with fundraising efforts and in October 2016, manufacturing commenced. It is slated for shipping in November 2016 and they are currently accepting donations from backers and taking pre-orders for the product.

The founders of this new start up realize that they are brand new and have a ways to go in establishing their brand and kicking off a successful launch. Although it is under the Apple corporation, these talented professionals have a large stake in its success. The fundraising site lets us know that they developed the devices in order to meet current customer demands for enhanced performance of the iPhone 7. Their goal was to come up with a reliable and viable solution that would provide solve the problems yet remain an inexpensive option that would also be aesthetically pleasing and come in matching color choices. One of their goals is to provide a product that offers an exceptional value for the consumers.

Where they’re at in the fundraising process with Kickstarter

If this is a project that you’re interested in backing, the campaign will continue through October 27, 2016. They currently have 4,379 backers with $92,456 pledged of $5,000 goal.
