The Adidas I-5923 i Back and in Wu-Tang Colors
Adidas is bringing back the I-5923 and this time, they’re making the famous silhouette available in a Wu-Tang colors. You might remember this shoe best by its former name, the Iniki Boost. If you’re not familiar, i’s a sneaker that falls neatly into the lifestyle category. The announcement made by the brand is good news for loyals who have repeatedly asked for a reprisal of this top selling model and it’s on its way.
A new release for the 2019 sneaker season
Spring is the time of year that kicks off a volley of new releases from Adidas and other sneaker manufacturers and for enthusiasts of the brand, it’s a time of celebration and planning their strategies. The more popular models get their fair share of hype after announcement of their planned release is made. Vendors and individuals prepare to be among the first to secure their interest in ownership and the end result is a big run on the production release that can leave retailer shelves bare and those who missed out either wait for another shipment for restocking or pay higher prices online with retailers who had the foresight to stock up for flipping their inventory at a substantial markup.
What you have to look forward to
The new release is going to be as comfortable for all day wear as i has been in the past. It will feature a full length Boost mid sole unit as expected. The upper will be a composition of a blending and combining of the finest premium buttery sued material along with the more technical rip-stop fabric. Adidas is intent on delivering high on durability and strength of he sneaker while maintaining the ultimate in comfort and flexibility. This is a high performing shoe that can be worn in any situation. The support is ideal without taking it over the top. You’ll still be able to enjoy the natural movement even though the shoe will provide you with the necessary support for foot and ankle safety. You’ll also enjoy the ventilation that prevents overheating of the feet during warm days and excessive amounts of physical activity for enhanced comfort all day long.
Wu-Tang colors
This is really all that is needed to be said to realize that the color scheme will be made up of black and yellow hues, representing the famed hip hop groups, however, it’s important to understand that for this sneaker model, Adidas has not established a partnership with those music industry icons. It’s not a collaborative effort, but rather a colorway that takes its inspiration from them with its similar colors.
Pricing and availability
Not all of he details surrounding the release of the new Adidas I-5923 have been shared by the brand yet, but what we do know as of this time is that the manufacturer’s suggested retail selling price will be set at $130, which we found to be immensely reasonable for such a high quality sneaker. These are scheduled to be released in March of 2019. Following this release, we’ll see the Wu-Tang colorway.
Although it’s been confirmed that it’s more than just a rumor, Adidas has not yet provided us with the pricing of the special edition, nor have they so much as hinted at the release date. We can surmise that since they’ve seen fit to give us a sneak peak of the shoe that it’s going to be some time in the late spring or summer of 2019.
The only definitive statement that they’ve made about the Wu-Tang colorways so far is that they are going to be “coming soon.” We’re also assuming that they will be available at selected Adidas retailers if not all of them. All we can do until more information is released is keep our eyes open and our ears to the ground. We’re not sure about the production numbers or if this is going to be a limited or special edition release as of this time. One thing that we can be sure of though is the fact that those who are serious about laying their hands on a pair of them need to act quickly once they’re released for sale.
