The Average Cost to Attend a Minnesota Vikings Game
How much does it cost to attend a Minnesota Vikings game? If you’re like most people, you probably think that it costs way too much to even think about doing it. After all, the Vikings are a very popular team and most people think that the NFL is just too expensive anyway, even if it’s for a team that’s considered second rate, at best. The truth is, you might be surprised to learn that it isn’t quite as expensive as you think. It really comes down to your personal preferences. If you are willing to sit in seats that aren’t considered the best in the house, you might be able to afford to go to a game without taking on a separate job in order to fund it. If you’re more of the high maintenance type, it might be time to start perusing the want ads right now.
Seats Can Set You Back but They Don’t Have to
One of the great things about going to a game and watching the Minnesota Vikings play is that the cost for seats varies through a pretty big range. For example, if you go on their website and try to buy tickets you’re going to find that seats are available for as low as $82 but there’s a sliding scale there that goes all the way up to more than $500 and you can choose the price range that you’re comfortable with. That gives you a chance to find out what types of seats you can expect to get given the amount of money you’re able to spend. If you’re all about saving money, then you’re obviously going to be more inclined to choose seats that cost $82 instead of choosing something more expensive. If you come into a little money and you have a couple of hundred dollars that you can spend, all you need to do is slide the scale until you hit that number and the website will tell you which seats are available for that price. It really doesn’t get much easier than that.
Expect to Spend Money on the Extras
You’ve probably already heard this a thousand times but it still rings true. Even if you save money on seats, you have to be careful when it comes to spending money on things like the concession stand and especially on souvenirs. If money’s tight, your best bet is to set a budget in writing before you ever go and make sure that you stick to it. As a matter of fact, it might be a good idea to get that cash in hand before you go to the game and then leave your credit cards and your ATM card at home. That way, you’re not tempted to go to the ATM and get more cash out or max out your credit cards because you saw a souvenir you think you just can’t live without. The truth is, it’s nice to have those types of things but it’s not a necessity. If you want to go to the game and enjoy the experience in and of itself, there’s really no need to break the bank on souvenirs. The same is true with the concession stand. Decide how much you’re going to spend and then decide that you’re not spending any more than that. If you bring $25 per person, you should be able to get enough to get you through the game without a problem. If you decide that souvenirs are so important that you just have to have one, decide what you want the most and set aside money for that souvenir in particular. Once you make your purchase, don’t look around with the idea that you’re just going to browse because you’ll end up finding something else and spending money on that, too.
Transportation Costs Money
It doesn’t matter if you’re taking public transportation or if you’re driving your own car, you’re going to have to pay a certain amount of money in order to get there. Parking in the area can run you approximately $20 and that’s roughly the same thing that you’re probably going to spend for public transportation, depending on how far you’re traveling. The thing that you really should do is figure out what your transportation options are and then estimate how much it’s going to cost for each option. That way, you can figure out which option is the most economical way to travel.
