The Five Biggest Lego Sets The Company Has Ever Sold

Lego releases numerous Lego sets on an annual basis, which are aimed at a wide range of people. Some of these Lego sets can be huge, thus presenting that much more of a challenge for interested individuals. Moreover, as Lego continues to release Lego sets, it is safe to say that the list of these huge Lego sets will continue to grow at a regular pace as well. Here are five of the biggest Lego sets that have been released so far:

5. Lego Ninjago City (70620)

Lego Ninjago is one of the most popular Lego product lines out there. In short, it started out in 2011. In some ways, it was similar to the previous Ninja product line that had been discontinued in 2000. However, the Ninjago product line differed in that it boasted a much more fleshed-out story that was bolstered by spin-off media. Regardless, it should come as no surprise to learn that there have been a lot of products counted under the Ninjago product lines, with an excellent example being Lego Ninjago City. Like its name suggests, the completed set is a three-level city encompassing a wide range of settings that include but are not limited to a fishing boat, a fish market, and a comic book store. As a result, it is no wonder that Lego Ninjago City has managed to make this list with 4,867 pieces.

4. Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon (10179)

The Millennium Falcon is one of the most famous ships from a sci-fi franchise that has managed to remain popular with a lot of people for decades and decades. As a result, it is perhaps unsurprising that Lego has released a number of Millennium Falcon sets over time, with the Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Millennium Falcon being an excellent example. Suffice to say that it boasts 5,197 pieces, which are necessary because it has been built to scale for the five figures that it came with.

3. Lego The Taj Mahal (10189/10256)

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum built by a Mughal emperor for his favorite wife. As a result, it is not just one of the most impressive buildings to have ever existed but also something of a monument to the power of love. Regardless, Lego The Taj Mahal enables interested individuals to build a miniature copy of the mausoleum in their home or wherever else they choose to build it, which can prove to be an interesting experience to say the least. In total, there were two versions of the Lego set released, with the second 2017 set boasting an additional piece for a list of 5,923 rather than 5,922.

2. Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043)

Priced at $399.99 USD, the Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle is the single biggest non-Star Wars Lego set with a combined total of 6,020 pieces. Once completed, it stands at an impressive 58cm while its base measures 69cm by 43cm. Said dimensions are necessary because the set has a lot of settings packed into it, thus making it a spectacular product for Harry Potter fans. Generally speaking, the most striking setting is the Great Hall. However, the set boasts others such as both the Potions classroom and the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, which are in addition to moving staircases as well as other examples of its lavish detail.

1. Lego Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

As stated earlier, Lego has released a number of sets for the Millennium Falcon over the decades. The Lego Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon is the latest of these sets, having been released in 2017. Its combined total of 7,541 pieces can be attributed in part to the fact that it boasts even more elaborate external detail than its predecessors. However, it should also be noted that it boasts multiple interior sections, which have contributed much to that number as well. On top of this, the Lego Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon can actually be configured for more than one look, which is quite appropriate considering the ship's appearance in more than one Star Wars movie. Moreover, the set even comes with more than one Han Solo figure so that interested individuals can put in whichever one is better-suited for the configuration that they have chosen to go with.
