10 Taco Bell Secret Menu Items You Should Consider

Taco Bell

Taco Bell is one of those places where people go to get good food at good prices. From time to time, they change their menu and sometimes, they remove items that are fan favorites. The good news is that you can still enjoy all of the special items that aren't really on the menu. You just have to know what to ask for. Below are then of the best picks from the so-called secret menu. You might one to give one (or all) of them a try.

1. Lava Sauce

People weren’t happy when the company decided to stop carrying the product a while back, but the good news is that you can still enjoy it. Even though it’s no longer on the menu, you can make it by ordering some nacho cheese and then using about three packets of fire sauce to mix with it. You can then put that sauce on anything you want in order to spice up your dining experience.

2. Fresco

If you’re a vegetarian, this is just for you. It removes things like sour cream and cheese and in its place, you can enjoy pico de gallo. You can even take things up another notch by asking them to include black beans in place of the meat. That way, you get all the flavor and the protein without destroying your diet.

3. Doritos

You already know that you can get a taco with a Doritos shell but did you know that the same rule applies to virtually everything else on the menu? It’s true, you can customize your order by replacing all the traditional shells with those made from Doritos.

4. Chili Cheese Burrito

They will tell you that they don’t have this item on their menu anymore, but in most cases you can still get it. Just as the name implies, it’s a burrito made from chilli and cheese, with some Fritos thrown in there for crunch. It’s easily one of the best items you can get there, so if you’re in the mood for something that’s a little spicy, go ahead and order this one on your next visit.

5. Superman

There is a reason this burrito is called the Superman. It’s the biggest burrito you can get at taco Bell so if you plan on ordering one, come in hungry. It’s basically a burrito with double beef, potatoes, tortilla strips, extra sour cream and guacamole. You can even get it with onions and red sauce if you want, and chances are, you’ll be full for the rest of the day.

6. Incredible Hulk

You might imagine that something with this name would refer to something green. In reality, it’s a five layer burrito with guacamole in place of the nacho cheese sauce. It really does give the product an entirely new flavor, and it’s delicious to boot.

7. Double Grilled Quesadilla

This is just what it sounds like. It’s a quesadilla that has been grilled, twice. You’ve probably eaten Taco Bell’s grilled quesadilla before, but it makes it all just a little bit better when you get it grilled a second time. It makes the whole thing crunchier and it gives it more flavor overall.

8. The Hulk

If you want to try this one, order a bean burrito with extra cheese, onion, extra red sauce and you guessed it, guacamole. It just might be one of the best combinations you’ll ever find at the restaurant, and it’s definitely one that is worth trying.

9. Enchirito

This is an enchilada that’s stuffed like a burrito, the best of both worlds. It used to be a regular item on the menu up until about five years ago, but you can still order it at most of the Taco Bell locations. If you’ve somehow managed to get through life without trying it, you really must get to the nearest Taco Bell and give it a try as soon as possible.

10. Cheesarito

If you really like cheese, you’re going to like this one. It’s a flour tortilla with a ton of cheese in it, along with onions and red sauce. It’s also one of the most economical items on the menu (or not on the menu), so if you’re on a serious budget, you can still get some good food without putting your bank account into the negative.
