10 Things You Didn’t Know about Bertrand Quesada

Bertrand Quesada

Are you familiar with Bertrand Quesada, the CEO of Teads? In reality, you may not even be familiar with the company, much less the man behind it. In order to give you a little background, Teads is a company that works to combine modern day technology with advertising in order to give businesses an advantage when it comes to marketing. Perhaps the more important question has to do with the man behind the company and not the company itself. In that case, here are 10 things about Bertrand Quesada that you might not know.

1. He has loads of experience in the advertising industry

When it comes to having the right amount of experience, Quesada is practically leading the pack with no less than 12 years experience in advertising. Advertising can be a very difficult field to succeed in, one where there is always new competition coming around the corner. The fact that he has managed to be immensely successful in this field speaks volumes for his determination, skill and knowledge.

2. He likes to be challenged in every aspect of his life

He thoroughly enjoys the idea of being challenged in everything that he does. He has said in the past that when people aren’t challenged, it’s easy to become complacent. By the same token, people who don’t challenge themselves have a tendency to become overly comfortable in their lives, yet they are rarely satisfied. It’s easy for people to get in the habit of not wanting to get out of their comfort zone and that means that they don’t grow, professionally or personally. Being challenged, according to Quesada, is one of the greatest things that a person can experience because it forces them to learn something new about themselves every time.

3. He tends to work on one project at a time

He enjoys a good challenge, but he also enjoys seeing something through to the very end. He loves the aspect of being an entrepreneur, but he isn’t one of those individuals that barely gets one startup off the ground and then abandons it just so he can start something completely different. Instead, he prefers to watch something that he has developed grow and change over the years in order to see what it can truly become. Only then does he start to think about starting something new.

4. He likes to look at everyday things and imagine something entirely new

When most people look at things that they see every day, they have a tendency to sort of stop seeing them. They might be aware of the presence of something, but they don’t really take the time to process it, much less think about what could be done differently with it. Quesada looks at technology and basically everything else and tries to reimagine it in order to create something entirely new from it.

5. He’s been a successful entrepreneur for two decades

He might have been in the advertising business for the last 12 years, but he’s been an entrepreneur in similar fields for more than 20. While it’s true that he’s been very active in the capacity that he currently holds for the last 12 years, he has far more experience in advertising than that simple statistics would indicate. In reality, he probably has more experience in advertising than most people who are currently in the business.

6. He has an affable personality

Business Insider named him the most well liked CEO in advertising, in 2017. It’s almost unheard of that a CEO is truly liked and respected by their colleagues, but that does seem to be the case with him. Perhaps it is because he has never bought into the idea of using people in order to get ahead. Instead, he tends to reach down, scoop up as many people as he can and bring them along for the ride.

7. He went to college in France

He got a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from French business school KEDGE. He says that he relished the opportunity to go to college in France and is grateful for having had the opportunity. Clearly, it is also an opportunity that he has made the most of over the years.

8. He genuinely cares about the people he works with

He has even gone as far as setting up GoFundMe pages for friends and colleagues when something bad happens, usually posting that information to his Twitter page in order to get as much response as possible. Some people take to Twitter to put nonsense out into the world, but when he tweets, it is genuinely for one of two reasons. He is either trying to convey information about something in his professional life or he is doing something that helps other people. Many times over the years, he has taken to social media to help the people that he knows in order to ensure that his friends and colleagues are well taken care of. Setting up a GoFundMe page is just one example of the way that he looks out for the people who are closest to him.

9. He believes in empowering all people by treating them as equals

He very much believes in treating all people as equals. He has never bought into the idea that someone who is of the different gender or nationality should be treated differently. He’s quick to point out that everyone has valid thoughts and feelings. Moreover, every person that wants to develop the skills to succeed can do so. He says that he would much rather see people succeed than be held back by these outdated stereotypes which only serve to point out differences as opposed to bringing people together.

10. He knows that those who wish to succeed have everything it takes to do so inside of them

He also regularly takes to social media to encourage people to be the best version of themselves. He encourages others to find their passion and then work hard in order to develop that passion into genuine skills that can be used to propel them to the next level in both their professional and personal lives.
