The fish is fresh, flaky, and cooked to perfection, while the Key Lime pie is worth the trip alone. The service, meanwhile, is attentive, friendly, and courteous, and the informal, fun vibe makes it a great place to relax with friends.

For the perfect light lunch, the signature Key Largo Lobster BLT is hard to beat… although the gorgeous Lobster Philly comes in a close second.

The fish tacos are legendary, while the lobster roll sandwiches will rival anything you can get elsewhere. Service is exceptional, and while it’s advisable to turn up early (the favorites tend to sell out early), there’s enough on offer to tempt you even if you do miss out on your first choice.

Family-owned, environmentally friendly Key Largo Conch House Restaurant & Coffee Bar is a fabulous choice for anyone looking for a warm welcome, delicately treated, sustainably sourced seafood, and a level of service that’s never short of excellent. The menu is a smorgasbord of affordably priced classics: the Lobster Mac & Cheese at $21.95 is a sumptuous dream, while the Lobster & Conch Ceviche makes a perfect, refreshing light lunch.

A favorite among locals and tourists alike, Pilot House Restaurant has become something of a Key Fargo landmark since opening its doors in 1950. In the warmer months, its outdoor patio overlooking the marina makes a great place to while away a few hours, while the warmly inviting interior makes an equally attractive proposition during cooler days. The menu is as good as it is wide, with a great selection of raw bar delicacies, fresh local seafood and shellfish, and even a full kid’s side-menu. Prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable – all in all, a clear winner.
