The Past

After leaving college, she moved to Los Angeles and worked as a waitress until she landed some modeling, acting, and promotional work. Brie Bella and her sister made their first attempt to enter the world of WWE in 2006 when they took part in the WWE Diva Search, but they did not make it through. It was another year before the twins were finally signed to WWE developmental contracts and assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling. In September of the same year, they made their in-ring debut, and this was the beginning of a wrestling career that spanned almost 12 years.

Initially, Brie would enter the ring and Nikki would hide beneath the stage. When Brie got tired, the pair would secretly swap places. However, the swapping was exposed during a match against Victoria. It was the that Brie and Nikki became known as the Bella Twins. Their first official event as a team was in November 2008. WWE created a storyline for the twins to keep fans entertained. This involved them being in on-screen relationships with two of their fellow wrestlers. The storyline ended with the sisters having a spat with each other, and this led to them competing against each other in the ring, with Brie taking the first win.

The Present

Brie and Nikki were drafted to the Raw brand in April 2009. Just two months later, they were drafted to the ECW brand before being traded back to Raw in October. Over the next few years, both Brie and Nikki appeared regularly in the backstage slots as well as appearing in the ring. In February 2011, Brie’s sister Nikki won the Divas Championship, and then Brie also had a turn at winning this title in April of the same year. For the rest of 2011 and into 2012, the twins appeared in many tag team matches. In April 2012, both Brie and Nikki were fired from WWE. Between then and March 2013, the twins focused on independent circuit promotions, before they re-joined WWE.

Their first two months back at WWE revolved around their feud with The Funkadactyls. They also began taking part in the ‘Total Divas’ series, which focused on their feud with Natalya. Around this time, Brie also began making appearances in the backstage segments of WWE with Daniel Bryan as the couple had got engaged by that point. By April 2014, Brie and Daniel began to get involved in the same in-ring storylines and appearing together in matches. Over the following months, Nikki and Brie In November 2014, Brie helped her twin sister to become a two-times Diva Champion as the two were reconciled. Brie continued to support her sister in retaining her title until April 2016 when she announced that she was taking a break from wrestling for personal reasons.

The twins returned to WWE in January 2018 for Raw’s 25th anniversary. However, their return to wrestling was short-lived. Brie Bella appeared for her final two matches in October 2018. In March 2019, she announced that she was retiring from professional wrestling. While her career as a professional wrestler has contributed significantly to her wealth, this is not the only reason that she is a rich woman as she has been involved in many other ventures.

One way in which she has made money is by making appearances on television. She first appeared on television alongside her twin sister in ‘Meet My Folks’ prior to beginning her wrestling career. Another television series in which the twins appeared is ‘Psych’. They have also appeared in several music videos and in the 2014 film ‘Confessions of a Womanizer’. Furthermore, they have provided voices for ‘The Flintstones & WWE: Stone Age SmackDown!’, they are in the main cast of the reality series ‘Total Divas’, and they have acted as guest judges on television.
