A Closer Look At The Konstantin Chaykin Joker

There is something to be set of a magnificent watch. It allows us to carry time on our sleeve, keep track of our day to day, and can play to a sense of style uniquely our own. Of course, there are many different watchmakers and crafters all across the globe, those who express a classic and robust style, and even those who add a sense of quirk and spontaneity with a contemporary feel as well. We have found an example of just that, with the stunning work of renowned watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin. In this specific article, we are going to look into the work of one of Chaykin’s most intricate pieces that he has created to date, which is cleverly named “The Joker”, as we will talk about a bit later. With that said, let’s get started taking our closer look at the Konstantin Chaykin Joker watch.

The “Face” Of It All

When we look at this complex watch, we notice the most interesting and compelling aspect of it all — It’s face. Where most of Chaykin’s watches have a beautiful and technically classic design to their face, this one takes an interesting turn that can spark the creativity and likeness in anyone. The Joker watch looks just that, like the Joker that we are all familiar with. The hands that follow the numbers of the clock and the seconds that go by are merely a set of googly eyes with moving pupils to follow the minutes and hours. Along with that, the face also features a red tongue sitting within an agape mouth that allows the wearer to see the phases of the moon. This watch allows for those who wear it to show off their sense of humor while also paying patronage to such intricate and fine detail.

Attention To Detail

Along with its ability to make a variety of different funny faces throughout the hours of the day, this Chaykin watch also has an incredible amount of detail that helps it to go the extra mile. Konstantin Chaykin gave this watch the extra sense of comic yet realistic with the simplest of things, such as with the eyes of the face. You will notice with a fine eye that the eyeballs are slightly domed in shape, giving them more of a lifelike appearance as opposed to the flat glass that we often see on other watch faces. Chaykin also took his time with the laser etching aspect of the watch, engraving the four suits that we see in decks of cards, along with the Joker logo that so many recognize all over the world. Even the band plays in with the theme of the watch, with a deep purple color stitched with bright green thread.

Sustainability

This watch is not only entertaining and ready to amaze, but it also has a great deal of sustainability when it comes to the most important details. Chaykin seems to have made all of the best decisions possible when it came to the assembly and running of the physical watch, finding the balance that was necessary. The watch is created with stainless steel which in turn allows for durability that will stand the test of time (no pun intended). Chaykin also used the workhorse ETA 2428-2 movement when creating the basis of the watch; However, he also incorporated a custom system for the time sequences as well as the phases of the moon that gives it its own attractive and intricate feel.

Needless to say, Konstantin Chaykin never ceases to amaze when it comes to his beautiful pieces in his portfolio, and he has most certainly proven his attention to detail and finesse when looking at the Joker. With its durability, keen attention to every single detail, and play on a popular and recognizably entertaining figure, this Chaykin watch has hit all of the factors that we look for in a watch to a T. In fact, this Russian made watch also comes with a custom set of Joker themed cufflinks to tie your look together, and you can also purchase one of the limited number of Joker card decks that are available as well. All in all, we have to say that this watch is near perfection, and worth every single penny.
