The 198'312 is a rare collectible that was sold at a 2009 auction by Patrizzi & Co for the price of $344,349.86 in USD. It has recently been advertised in a pending auction in Hong Kong later in November of 2020. The Observatory Tourbillon is a pocket watch that features a 47.5 mm case in 18k yellow gold. The design was masterminded by Goly, Modoux, Andre Zibach, and Henri Wehrli. The subdial features the movement number 198'312 painted in enamel. This example is one of ten known to exist in the world.
9. Patek Philippe Ref 5303 Minute Repeater Tourbillon in rose gold
This is one of the newer releases in a modification of the 2019 Minute Repeater Tourbillon. The watch features an 18k rose gold case that measures 42 mm in width. It is accented with white gold inlays in a foliage motive delivering an engraved leaf aesthetic. There is no conventional dial as the open-worked architecture serves the purpose of displaying the intricate workings of the movement beneath. The Sky Moon Tourbillon Ref 5002 was released in 2000. It is one of the most beloved within the Patek Philippe tourbillon collection of rarities. Ref 5002 features a case made of 18k white gold, measuring 42.8 mm in width. This was the first wristwatch from the brand to feature a double face to show off all the functions. There are 686 parts in the movement alone. It's powered with a caliber R TO 27 QR SID Lu CL movement with minute repeater and tourbillon escapement. Although not portrayed in its official name this also is a tourbillon. The Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar is another rarity from Patek Philippe.
