How Much Does It Cost to Attend a Toronto Raptors Game?
The Toronto Raptors have a strong fan base but what should you do if you have spent all of your time watching them on television as opposed to actually attending a game in person? You might be thinking that you’re better off just watching the game from the comfort of your own home, especially if you have seen some of the ticket prices for certain teams lately. However, you might be cheating yourself out of the chance to go do something different, not to mention all the fun you would be having if you went to the game and experienced the atmosphere for yourself, which is definitely something you can’t get when you watch the game on TV. The first step is to check into the price of tickets, concessions and parking so you know how much you might conceivably end up spending if you went to a game. That way, you know whether or not it’s in your budget.
Tickets are More than Reasonable
If you’re worried about ticket prices, you don’t need to be. As a matter of fact, the prices for tickets at a Raptors game are far more reasonable than many other NBA teams. If you’re looking for a decent seat where you can actually see what’s going on and you don’t want to sit in the nosebleed section, expect to spend about $74 per seat. You can get tickets that are cheaper than that, but the view might not be as good. That being said, there are tickets listed as low as $59. This isn’t so bad when you consider the fact that many stadiums would have you paying at least twice that much for similar seats. The other thing you’re likely to notice about this particular location is that they don’t have such a big swing in ticket prices as some stadiums do. They say it’s because they want to make seats more affordable for everyone without creating that huge gap in prices that often exists from one stadium to the next.
Concessions aren’t Cheap, but They Could be Worse
If you want to enjoy concessions at virtually any sporting event, you have to face the fact that you’re going to pay more than you would if you went somewhere else to eat. Concession stands are, by their very nature, more expensive than other types of establishments. You can get a hot dog at a restaurant and you’ll pay less than half for that order than you probably will at a concession stand, but for most people, it’s all about enjoying the atmosphere. If you want a hot dog at the stadium, you’re looking at spending about seven dollars for each one you purchase. A soda will cost you about the same amount. If you want something more elaborate, you’ll obviously have to spend more money. However, it’s still a lot cheaper than a lot of concession stands. Even if you really plan on eating as much as you possibly can, $25 or $30 should definitely do the trick.
The Real Cost is Always in the Parking Fees
People routinely spend a lot of money when it comes to parking their cars for any major sporting event and it’s no different in this particular case. If you want to park your car here, it will probably cost you at least $20 and if you really want the best parking, it’s more like $25. Granted, that sounds expensive but when you really stop and think about it, you’re not spending all that much in other areas so even though this is a bit extravagant, it really shouldn’t be all that much of a problem.
When you add everything up, it’s important to remember that you’re looking at about $75 for each seat and around $30 for the concession stand if you really plan on tearing it up. In other words, if you bring $105 with you, you should be able to enjoy the experience complete with your very own ticket and you shouldn’t have to worry about running out of money before you run out of places to explore or things to eat. If you add in parking, you’re looking at about $130 but that’s still more economical than a lot of other stadiums so all-in-all, you’re actually ahead of the game here.
