The year 2016 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Lamborghini corporation’s founder Ferruccio Lamborghini. The name Lamborghini is a symbol of prestige and quality. The Centenario is the vehicle that was designed, built and produced to mark the celebratory occasion. his impressive model is worthy of accolades and if you’re not currently an owner, here are 10 things about the Centenario that you probably didn’t know.

1. It’s a limited edition car

As a special edition model, designers and engineers realized that they had to implement some features that set this car apart from all the others. It does offer some distinctions that are remarkable. It’s comprised of nearly all carbon fiber for starters. In fact, the color itself is named “gloss carbon” and it points to the materials used in the vehicle’s creation. It’s actually a deep gray color and is accented with yellow colors which stand out and make it a vision of total beauty and uniqueness.

2. It’s starting price is just under 2 million Euros

When the new Lamborghini was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor show, the Centenario LP 770-4 model was labeled as the newest Raging Bull in the family. It’s a vehicle that is directed towards the very wealthy who can afford to spend 1.75 million in Euros, and this is just the starting price for the car. As you would expect, this price tag will get you the base model and if you want to equip it with all the possible bells and whistles, the cost is going to go up rather dramatically.

3. It’s been a rare car from the day of its manufacture

The high price tag is a reflection of the uniqueness of the 2016 Centenario LP 770-4. This is in part, because of the fact that just 40 of them have been built. Lamborghini is holding to this extremely limited number of production models and that makes it a rare find. 20 of the models were roadsters and 20 are coupes. It really comes as no surprise that every last one of them has been sold.

4. The Centenario is packed with vents and ducts

The Centenario is designed with a plethora of ducts and vents. This is to ensure that as you’re driving this high-class luxury vehicle that you are as comfortable as possible. The rear diffusor along with air extractors in the car’s bonnet is more of a retro feature that is seen in older models but it’s so efficient, why not include it in this extra special edition?

5. The Centenario comes with a tracking app

This amazing vehicle is not only breathtaking and unique, it’s also state of the art when it comes to the infotainment system and the built-in apps. It’s fully loaded with a touchscreen system that allows you to listen to your favorite music, but it also comes with a tracking app. This app gives the driver the option of recording information when racing or driving. How would you like to review your driving performance in digital form so you can get better faster? If you have a pal that owns a Centenario, you can compete against one another and both track your progress through your car’s tracking system. How brilliant!

6. The Centenario is powerful

This may be an understatement. The 2016 Centenario is equipped with the most powerful engine in Lamborghini’s impressive repertoire. It’s a 770 horsepower that takes its inspiration from the 6.5 liter V12, naturally aspirated powerhouse used in the Aventador. This engine has undergone a few tweaks and it’s impressed statisticians by moving from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph.

7. It has advanced connectivity and navigation

When you’re driving the Centenario, it’s not likely that you’ll lose your way. The advanced navigation system features satellite navigation which offers a greater degree of accuracy. The generous sized 10.1-inch touchscreen is easy to use and to read at a glimpse. The addition of Apple CarPlay gives you the ability to get directions, make calls, play music, respond to emails or use social media.

8. The Centenario has scissor doors

Fully loaded with pleasing aesthetics, the Centenario designers took things a step further and made it with unique and attractive scissor doors. These doors highlight the car’s color scheme. This is a visual stopping place for most observers, but there is much more to see. Once you get past this marvel the interior is jaw-dropping and is customizable.

9. The steering system is 4-wheel

This powerhouse of a car requires firm vehicle control for safety. This is one of the reasons why the engineers designed it with a 4 wheel steering system. This allows for the maintenance of speed stability, smooth driving around corners with little effort and a pleasant driving experience.

10. It entices owners to take it on the race track

This amazing vehicle is a dream to take out on the road. This isn’t the only place that it proves its mettle. To entice owners to take it for a spin on the track, there is a designated space for two helmets in the front trunk.
