Nick Carter is a singer, songwriter, and actor who began his career in the entertainment industry in 1989. He is probably best known as a member of the Backstreet Boys, although he has also had a successful career as a solo artist, appeared on various television shows, and has become a reality television star. Due to his career success, Nick Carter's net worth is now $40 million, and here is how he achieved this.

His Early Life

Nick Carter was born in Jamestown, New York, on January 28, 1980. His parents owned a bar in New York called Yankee Rebel. When Carter was four, the family relocated to Ruskin in Florida to manage the Garden Villa Retirement home.

The Backstreet Boys

In 1992, when Carter was 12, he auditioned for both Disney's 'The Mickey Mouse club' and for the 'Backstreet Boys.' His mother's preference was for him to land the television role as it would allow him to stay in school.

However, Carter was bullied at school, and his first choice was to join the vocal group and drop out of school. He was offered both jobs, and he decided to join the 'Backstreet Boys.'

The other members of the 'Backstreet Boys' were AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough. His debut solo album 'Now Or Never,' from which the single was taken, was released later that year. The same year, Carter made his directorial debut for the film 'The pendant,' which he had also written. He has since directed another film that has not yet been released. In 2014, Nick Carter and his wife began their own reality series called 'I (Heart) Nick Carter.'. It documented the preparations for their wedding and followed Nick as he was.

The one-hour season finale showed Carter finally getting married. Nick Carter was one of the contestants in the 21st season of 'Dancing with the Stars' in 2015.

He was partnered with professional dancer Sharna Burgess. Although they made the finals of the show, they finished in second place. The series was won by Bindi Irwin and her dance partner, Derek Hough.
